What do you clean and lube the sheaves with

having an issue with the unit when running under a load up a hill or in high gear, seems like the belt is slipping, there is a clapping sound coming from the primary clutch like it releases and snaps back in. i don't think I should have a noise like that. this is a friends unit and he has already replaced the primary twice with the same result. not sure where to look next

polaris 2008 50 outlaw automatic: got the 50 for free. would only run with chock on, replaced the carburator with new. I can't get the unit to an idle where the machine doesn't move forward. if I do get it to idle down within a few moments it will die. got something to try?

Hi Bill here. New to the forum. Live in leander tx and helping out a friend with his Polaris quads. he has 4, 2 90s 50 and 1 express 300 2 stroke. how can I identify what year they are?
