  1. The Sawtooth Palmetto splines will not penetrate My heavy chaps. But my cousin, he has fiberglass leg guards that go up to his knees. I sweat a lot...Grandma says I "glisten"...LOL so That's a problem...I should start a thread on women's ATV apparel.
  2. Ha Ha. You are right!! i will need to look at something skimpier for Florida...Hmmm good point. But Palmetto fromes can cut your legs i bet.
  3. I actually have heavy black chaps now. I usually wear them walking thru heavy grass when dove hunting. I love to eat doves. But more importantly the chaps look cool... LOL..They are open in the back which is Cool looking and actually cool in the heat. Mine are heavy snake proof. Here on the Southeast we have the Eastern Diamond back Rattle snake. It is the largest venomous snake in the US; recorded at 8.25 Ft. The largest I have ever encountered riding off road on my bicycle measured 6 ft. (an old man farmer stopped when he saw me watching it and killed it). They traditional are shy and move away if they can. The damn cotton mouth will come after you. They love to hang in low branches of trees over hanging ponds and creeks looking for frogs etc in the water below. That puts them about head high when you are padding in a canoe.
  4. I need a couple of necessities before i can ride: 1. Black waist length goat skin leather Jacket 2. Black Leather riding Chaps 3. New 11 inch boots 4. Black leather shorts to wear under my open back chaps Oh yes new mud tires....LOL

  7. yeah I want tires mounted on rims..so I can swap around based o where I am riding. .I did that when i bought new trailer tires...saves mounting costs also Need mud tires...Sometimes I get muddy...LOL
  8. Yes, its a 2025 4X4 Foreman w 518 cc motor. It has Manual transmission. 12 inch tires front and rear. The dealer is installing a 3500 lb winch on it. The sales guy was great and wants to go with me on my first ride to show features I guess. It is still in the overseas shipping frame in the picture. They are prepping it now. Great $ from this big dealer in Cocoa,FL. tires are on steel rims...I like the feel of hard steel. Probably buy a new set mounted on steel also with aggressive tread off ebay or amazon. another dealer quoted a Rubicon that has same motor but independent rear instead of a solid axle. it was $2,000 more.

hello! going to try to get some posts in eventually :D

  19. I did not mention that the Mosin Nagant I am holding was mfg in late 1945. It was the model 1944 carbine. It has seen military service in countless theaters of war; possibly most notably in the recent troubles in Kosovo. I would be remiss if if i did not point out that the 7.62 X 54mmR (Rimmed) is one of the few rimmed military rounds in use today. Probably most notably in the Dragunov sniper rifle. There is a 6.5 x54 mm R variant used in target rifles.
  20. I always have a driver when in Mexico. That was only time I drove a little. Sometimes my driver would make me sit in the rear so pan handlers in Guadalajara would not see me and pester him for money. One time my driver did not arrive to pick me up. Finally, after several hours another man showed up to take me to the job. He was in an ICA truck so I got in. He said my driver hit a chicken and was in jail until he made restitution to the owner. You got to laugh!
  21. I think that is my Hotel in the internet pic...lovely beach. not white sand but clean. BTW my attorney friends who Marlin Fish in tournaments close to there stopped going as it was getting too crazy.
  22. Well the one dealer wants $1,450 extra...That appears a lot...I would think that I could mount the winch if i is bolt on. Although i always loose nuts and things when i take something apart. BTW Checking with tree dealers ...three (3) quotes $1,961 spread.
  23. Bueno...GoooD Morning Puerto Vallarta...A Mexican Engineer and I drove there from Tepic, Mex. on a weekend. His wife and kids lived there. I stayed in a Hotel that was on the Beach. Had my hair braided, had my photo taken ( they live on Tip$$) and went surfing. Beaches are very clean. It's a great tourist town. Marlin Fi$hing i$ great there if you can afford it. A White shirt cop stopped me said I ran a red light. ( White shirt police are tourist friendly ...LOL..and speak English.) . The police wanted to search me or go to police sub station. Fortunately i had my Mexican friend the Engineer with me. He got them to just take my US driver license and a give me a ticket. My hotel Concierge told me that he would go to police station and pay the ticket and get my drivers license.. He said it was not wise for me to go. He did pay the ticket but could not get my driver's license. He said they probably sold it. The people in Puerto Vallarta, as in most of Mexico, are friendly and honest. I had to pee while we were driving. My friend pulled up to a private residence. We walked up and he knocked on the door. He explained to the lady ho lived there. She did not hesitate and smiled at me as she let me in to use her house bathroom. Oh MY!
  24. I need to see this one. It's at a different dealer a '25 model but 518 motor.. $ less than '26 mdl....
