  1. MIne is an older model I bought used ...it was still in the box. I have an aftermarket trigger. The original Ruger triggers were so so ....I think the Ruger attorneys designed them to be super safe...
  2. Leaves are turning...I like to hunt squirrels after the leaves have fallen...I can see the little B---t--ds easier. But I love my old blot action 23 inch barrel Winchester. However, I have a Ruger 10/22/22 SS...This model has 22 inch barrel. I don't need to move to work the action after the first shot and give away my position for a second shot on another squirrel. Sometimes I will shoot in there chest so I can save the head as I like to eat the brains.
  3. No.I don't operate Xnfmr control Xnfmr in reverse...I have walked in on jobs where maint. guys were trying to by pass Xnfmr with external power (extension cords...LOL) Not realizing there was 480 output. And CVA Xnfmrs don't like extraneous neutrals...seen that a couple times.
  4. Here is a stupid question that has always troubled me. I am most familiar with control transformers; i.e., 480 vac to 120 vac. However, I know that Xfmrs work "both ways" . If i input 120 vac into that Xfmr i will have 480 (nominal) vac output. For that reason i always disconnect bat chargers because i am afraid the charger will drain the battery when I unplug the charger.
  5. The power station is good....Do you have the recharger with station...
  6. The Ignition coil puts out 40K to 50k volts. That being said when I to check for a 460 vac @ 60 hz motor for grounded conditions typically a I would 'Megar ' test by imposing 600 vac through windings to ground. You used 9 vdc to ground and saw a low resistance (Ohms) i expect. I come from a different discipline i guess.
  7. Hmmmm??? your fluke meter only out 9 vdc...Curious...what ohm readings did you get? Mega, Kilo ohms?...Glad you found that. Did the coil get heated causing the insulation failure?
  8. Good info...
  9. I want to use the 50 Amp connectors for my winch.
  10. OK...I need to upgrade my Box.
  11. yes that is what I did...OEM belt. Replaced primary clutch ...Then before installing the cover I started him up and watched the sheaves open and close as I throttled him. "Mr. Always Ready" is always ready again...LOL
  12. Lots Of fun....i sleep well in the cold air.
  13. The groves were about 1/2 inch depressions. and at the deepest point 0.004 in deep. I mic'd the aftermarket belt width. It was exactly to spec's of Yamaha; however did not lasy. Maybe you can see better here...
  14. Here is the 0.004 in groves. At top of picture is remains of the aftermarket belt...it exploded. Also The Yamaha calls for 3 oz of grease. Her is how i lubed it and only used < 3 oz. of Tinkseal.
  15. It has been In the low 40's here overnight. What are you keeping warm with? BTW Those are super great photos🤩....sorry about the loss of your friend, May he RIP.
  16. Never heard of Digikey?? I'll look that up...
  17. Very Impressive...I am sure a lot of people will want to read this post...
  18. Mike has professional looking Power Boxes. I have not found a source for "project " electrical boxes.
  19. I wonder if the type /brand makes a difference? The local battery shop sells one that is expnsive and they claim it is better. My electric driveway gates in Fla have a charger on the battery and those batteries only last TWO years! However, my Generac's (I have two) batteries last longer. Those AAA bateries in personal devices don't last long. I own Energizer stock...OMG
  20. So I have seen advertised trickle chargers for batteries that claim they will extend the life of batteries. Is that what you use on your Power Box...(Love that name) you should copyright that name
  21. Let the smoke out of electronics! Yeah I love it when I see the solder Lands on PCB are raised up and burned.
  22. That's good ...Fla does not restrict that.. I always thought all lighting front and rear Had to be DOT approve. I have DOT headlights on my sand rail.
  23. Sorry Mike I was out late last night. too much Vino..That is your rig ...
  24. Neat set up...That's one of my faults..I try to "make do with what got". You make it look factory. If I am getting paid I actually make it look factory. That is the same Rig "Jumping Jack" That Mike explorer has. Yours single axle? Mo pics?
