  1. Cannot wait to see Pics! Great info...
  2. My 2017 SXS CVT Trans. 700cc with 1700 hrs. motor wise great. No issues. I replaced the belt and relubed the primary and secondary clutches.
  3. Grandpa used to throw a half inch log chain over the steel cable when stretchin fence so that if somthing gave way the chain would arrest the recoil.
  4. BTW that 16 ft trailer has a standard 2 inch fiber belt boat loading winch on the tongue. .No rating on it. But the boat it was used for was probably 3500 lb inboard / outboard. That is interesting about winch capacity and spool diameter....good info!
  5. Yes the tree wrap protection is good...I have a "Jungle Tree Hammock tent " that fastens between trees. I always wrap it the trees. If you notice the tree I strapped winch to is invasive to the tree next to it. I expect it needs to be removed.. I am in process of having a Forestry Agent survey the woods so It can be restored. ($$$$ 😕) Having the two winches attached allowed me (I was by myself of course) to alternate pulling. That had the effect of walking the stone up the trailer instead of a dead pull from one fence stretching winch attached to the tree. Steel cable winches can do some damage if they break loose and recoil...OMG. The Foreman has poly cable...I like that. Easier on my hands.
  6. The SXS is easy too load as I can engage the 4X4. Its my VW sand rail that wants to go crazy. When loading from the front . I back him up on the trailer and when the front wheels are on the ramp the rear wheels want to spin and slide sideways OMG 😵‍💫! the grip paint should help and now I have a portable electric winch I can hook on at back of trailer and pull his as* on! The SxS and the ATV will both fit on the 16 ft trailer ..Barely! I have not tried it yet...here is a pic of th e SXS on the trailer... You can see he takes up a lot of space. Tried to load a picture of me on the trailer Triedt to show a picture of me on trailer but it did not load Dammnn i worked hard to get that picture,,,LOL
  7. the pic shows us pulling her out . the right tailer wheel drops in a hole there. I positioned Foreman downhill next to pull the right wheel out and swing the trailer out onto the trail. I used two winches to pull the stone onto the trailer. the tariler and a "fencce stretcher winch chined to a tree. chained to a tree...sexy wild LOL
  8. I looked at a stone calculator....753 lbs....😵‍💫
  9. THe one trailer wheel was in a hole. So i had to pull at the hitch and block the other wheel to leverge the wheel out. THe Foreman was down hill of te trailer. Forman's 3500 lb winch when hooked to the trailer tongue pulled me and Foreman up hill!...OMG...I put him in 4X4. and pulled the tongue to dislodge the stuck wheel. Just playing around...That stone measured 17 X 12 x 44 inches @ 150 lbs per cu ft that's over 700 lbs...Did i calculate that correctly???
  10. First time using winch and hauling big foundation stones....Just wanted to see if I could...Typical I four wheel Forman can pull more than the winch as wich wll drag te foreman . I have seen tat going uphill on snow ...Aas long as the jeep is pulling you can hold position...but lock up the brakes and try to stopand you're going to slide back down. OMG
  11. C'mon Mike show us the sequence pictures of off loading and setting up that rig...It looks like a well thought out system...Michelle must have helped...
  12. Goood Morning Labor Day! “The secret of success is making your vocation your vacation.” ― Mark Twain Just Sitting on porch thinking of what to do Tomorrow...love what I do, Don't we all!💃
  13. Compounds in coffee show Benefits of drinking coffee...The New England Journal of Medicine shows that these compounds may improve the gut microbiome (made up of healthy bacteria that aid in digestion and boost immunity) and reduce what's called oxidative stress, which occurs when free radicals outnumber antioxidants in a way that leads to disease-causing cellular damage in the body. “The beans also have a deep rich hue," Kirkpatrick says, "and we know that the deeper the color of a plant, the more benefits we can expect for health.” Those benefits, research shows, translate into everything from lowering your risk of diabetes to potentially boosting your brain health.
  14. The Viking is probably too heavy (1448 lbs) for that axle...But pulling that trailer on road is a pain as wants to fish tail.
  15. Here you can see unloading on an embankment at the cottage in the woods. I have a web-belt winch at front of trailer (the trailer was a boat trailer in a previous life). This probably not smart as if a down hill ramp were to flip the SXS would be at a picaros angle. The trailer is high sitting on the level. I don't like rear mounts as I am chicken. Working by myself is always a challenge.LOL
  16. If i have an embankment to load from, I like it from the rear. However, the ramps I made are designed to load from the front with the trailer hitch down. The ramps are 3 inch angle w 2 x 6 wood. since taking the picture I painted them and trailer wood with skid / anti slip paint.
  17. In order to Haul both my Viking SXS and the Forman I can use a 16 ft open trailer as both machines will have their wheels on the trailer. The bodies will hang over as the Viking is 10' 2" (1,448 lbs ) and Foreman 6 ' 2" (635 lbs). My single axle trailer is 16 fppt but heavy made of 2 x 6 box tubing with a 5300 lb Dexter axle. He has electric brakes however i don't feel comfortable towing with my Highlander (Rated at 5,000 lbs towing ). So i only tow the 16 ft trailer with my Tundra. Considering an aluminum 16 ft car hauler tandem axle (w brakes of course) curb wt 1400 lbs so I could pull with my Hoghlander. ?????
  18. Sooo...The TV newsman asked the Seattle guy what he was going to do this summer. THe guy replied,"If it comes during the weekend I'll go to the beach."
  19. Gooodd Moorning Autum ...wow 53 F this morning. The corn tassels are browning; the Sycamore and the Black Walnut tree are already giving up their green chlorophyl color. Pumpkins are for sale at the roadside markets....The Summer daylight is waning. But alas, plans for fall outings and hunting are afoot. Fall excitement is coming. For me as well as many, it's the end the summer hiatus. I go back to $erious work. Catch up on my reading (love reading on cold evenings) Summer has ended, "Not with a Bang, but a Whimper." (T.S. Eliot, The Hollow Men"). "Adieu Papi, Adieu" (Der Apotheker)
  20. So relevant to a Rear Storage /seat for the Forman, one guy told me that the hard case Rear Storage/seat tend to bruise the passenger if rough terain riding. Whereas, the Raer Bag storage /seat does not impact the passenger. Hmmmmm?
  21. Yes...You are probably right. The axle/ bearings and wheels are new. The bed tilts which is nice. If i did that maybe i could modify it so my Yamaha Viking would fit on it. The Viking weighs 1448 lbs and is 64 inches wide. Currently the Viking only fits on my heavy 16 ft trailer that i have to pull with my Tundra. The Forman is only 44 in wide and easily fits on my light trailer.
  22. OK! Let me see the loading ramps! Holy Crap Batman that's a jump!😵‍💫
  23. Yes Forman has a 12 vdc power supply outlet.. I would rather just have tail lights flash with no power cord. But you are probably correct that would be easiest. The exposed wiring on the trailer will get torn off as Forman drags her though the woods.
  24. Greys are territorial nice to hunt. Whereas , Fox Squirrels move from one area to another. The Fox Squirrels up look foxy in color. In Florida it looks like a racoon in coloring. fox squirrels up north
  25. There are a lot of custom made accessories made for the HOnda ATV.....Cannot make up my mind...Still not sure about a "hard" plasttic storage / seat Vs the soft storage / seat. The hard plastic is probably difficult t remove but probably more easy to use.
