With the Viking at 1450 and trailer at 900 lbs I am well below the tow capacity rating.

Foreman has 5 speed manual. I do not notice the electric power steering. In fact, he is a handful to control. But I am small. The "noClutch " shifting took some getting used to. At first I automatically pulled the left brake when shifting as I am used to my Kaw 1000 clutch on the left LOL. I hold on in first gear as he will want to jump out from between my legs when we get moving.

I want to have a lighter trailer...Aluminum ...that I can pull with my Highlander AWD with my 1450Lb Yamaha SXS. Its 122 " X 64" w 84 inch WB. Has any one fitted out a naked frame aluminum trailer like that...I found Northern Supply has one < $900 but it is 5 Ft x 8 ft.

He is good...I have not had their free class on riding, but I have had him out a lot in very hilly rough terrain. He is torquey in firs gear.. He is manual tanny

The panhandle is awesome...There are places in the river woods in the Tallahassee area that people ...Cajuns I think ..have set up parament camps. They are hospitable...I was kinda lost there one time driving to meet friends and a guy led me out.

He is in southern Indiana It is amazingly beautiful there .Strip mine pits are great fishing and ..Little Nashville...Definitely a fun place at night.

I like 8hrs.but 10 is OK ..from the pan handle to Key west is >800 miles. Fortunately once you get out of Central Florida traffic ..OMG.. Nice trails are only an hour away. I sing as i drive...I can yodel pretty good...Mike talks to Michelle....Quality Time!

Before I changed the Primary Clutch Mr. AR had no get up and go even on a slight grade, I rebuilt the Primary and the secondary clutches. I installed in the aftermarket belt and it was an improvement but still not great. Once i could get him moving he had a lot of power in some deep mud and up hill. Then Ka-boom! That belt exploded. there wasn't but a few a pieces larger than 1/4 inch! Definitely a bad hair day! Hard surfacing aluminum (sheaves) is difficult. There are varieties of methods. I am familiar with ferrous metal hardening or at least prenil testing of same on large industrial drive rollers. Typically with ferrous metals it is the very thin surface that is hardened. Once you wear through that it is soft metal. I expect aluminum is the same. After the belt 'exploded' i noticed another "grove forming . So replaced that primary and new OEM belt. Now he is Ready even climbing on from a dead start.

Hmmmm...I had an aftermarket belt that I Micd' width and length was correct. It lasted 4 miles! Factory belt with new primary in there now. I'll check wear next spring. I can strip pretty fast. I bought the plastic rivets. I made a secondary compression tool. (Looks like A Rube Goldberg tool..LOL). And unfortunately I am experienced in working on 'Mr Always Ready., Yamaha 700 SXS.

The primary clutch was groved and I replaced with new belt as I have posted...unusual for such low mileage....You Think? Yes you are right ...I'll dod that the pads are only $8

I am reassemling the caliper andputting a light coat of Never Seeze on spiral gear mechanism. I'll keep as spare or maybe someone will want it.

OK got new caliper ordered. But I took old one apart. You can see the what-cha-ma-call-it that fits inside the thing -a bob is rusted! That is why it would not retract the brake caliper. I yse thisSS rust remover a lot on ferrous metal.

Hmmm...? That's a project. I replaced the brakes on my sand rail with Disk breaks...four bolt lugs just like you have. Its a '66 VW chassis components.. ...It was easy as they make a conversion kit. The only problem I have is the front wheels lock up on braking as there is not much weight on front of my sand rail. Drum brakes are a mental challenge getting that long hook spring positioned with auto adjuster...LOL. I have never used "Filler primer" on rusty wear parts. I have used 'Two Part' filler primer on body parts. I use Rusteoleum "Rusty Primer" on badly rusted parts.. Nice pictures
