when the light is off can you by pass components (jumper wire ) and get light on. What else does not work? -
I may need tire chains. maybe strap on chains. they are cheap

The snow plow mounted has slight down pressure and plow can be easily lifted buy operator pushing down on handle bars. Going up hill requires operator to lift handle bars to overcome drive torque and keep plow down.

I got grandpa's Gravely snow plow out of scrap pile and repainted and made skids for bottom of plow (with help from Mikeexplorer) pictured is on Grandpa's old machime. Mine is in WVa. don't know about fitting it on my SXS or the Foreman. Two sets of skids one 2 inch clearance and the other 1/4 inch clearance. It is 48 inches wide , 3/16 inch steel...heavy! but evenly balanced when on the Gravely.

You guys are very good, highy proficient at the new ignition system. I struggle. Except maybe a better troube shooting guide wouldhelp me. Here is one I can understand that is for my Sand Rail '66 VW motor.

Hmmm...What tools do you have? The spark test that Shorty advised is good if no test equipment. I have found the colorof the spark (when dong the spark test) is indictative oof voltage. However a 50,000 vac spark will easily jump 1/2 inch . I am not sure what the voltage is Gbarm knows that.

Maybe a simple three wire connector at lights. Remember if you solder use only electrical solder. I have made that mistake before...Off course I have made lots of mistakes ...LOL -
Well i thought the post was very informative. I liked the pictures. I have changed out four gravely tires this year. However, they are a two part rim so it's easy to unmount and remount. The tire machine is a good investment. My Kissin 'cousin has the automatic Job-R-Do from Northern tool. If i had several to do I would go see him. I have never used the Yamaha tire lube. sounds like a good idea.

Well on battery disconnects I only open the DCcommon. safety of no com if Bat + is grd to frame accidentally. On a light yes I guess one could use a double pole discinnect but never two individual switches. I don't like chasing open com's. -

Silica Sand...I worked in a glass factory once...3,200F melting temp. Also worked on Kaolin Sand dryer...Florida has Kaolin deposits...Kaolin clay / sand....Original base ingredient in Kaopectate....LOL Sorry Gbarm, I could not resist adding color to your absolutely great post.🫦

I used a 2 x 8 on tire then drove on that. That did not work. But Grandpa's Mahindra tractor forks did. I cannot believe how he cleaned up like new...

Do you incorporaate a special air filter for dust..Coal dust is fine. (And highly explosive I worked on coal fired burners a couple times)

The voltage bar graph along the bottom of My Fluke picks spikes. Maybe not sure. A timing light should. You should get the Fluke scope...oscilloscope. Fluke 199B...~$900

I have a Simpson...LOL Won't a spark tester light pick that up?...I have used a Timing light also. That's an antique.
