  1. Oooooohhhh the thrill of it all....LOL😘
  2. Well Grandma did not appreciate my "PCP"..Ha Ha... but you can 'sabot' black powdered bullets for greater accuracy and performance...
  3. Never shot a big a big bore. The 308 & M-1 are auto. That's a bolt action or falling block--i guess. that would put a shock trough my whole body even in a prone position! I cheat in the prone position i use a pillow. BTW The 375 is known for its "push" ....OoooHH..🫦
  4. Did not know that.. I like those tires. They appear to have a center ridge that would make them better on roads. I need a second set of rims with road tires for the SXS. The ATV I want aggresiive mud, steep hill side taction....How interchangeable at rims...i'll need to get a bolt /center hole measurement. Nice, rugged looking machine...No passenger seat? ... LOL
  5. Switch rated at 40 amps VDC. Hmmm...Mounting position? Handle bars...? Did not think of that, Mike. Maybe rear end mount?
  6. You know the Ka Boom is nice, the crack of the 5.56 is a thrill but the jolt and push of the 12 ga mag or the Black Powder makes a girl close her eyes and bite her lip! Ha Ha!🫦 BTW..keep ammo stock in the 4 (Four) digits. .just saying...CMP sells ammo.
  7. My two BP rifles. The top is a Traditions ‘Inline ‘ that uses a shotgun primer. I have a scope for it. The bottom is my favorite. It is easy to take apart and clean. It is Connecticut Valley arms, AKA CVA, made in Spain. Both are .50 caliber. On the leather beside the CVA is a small nipple from the CVA. Also, Nipple wrenches. I changed out the small nipple for large nipple that takes a ‘Musket Cap” I like the large nipples as they put out a lot of fire to get things moving. Notice the Nipple Pick …essential little tool. Sadly, I have never hilled Bambi…Lord knows I have tried. With the small nipple in the CVA I was on a frozen creek up against the roots of a Sycamore. Bambi came stomping through the chest high dead weeds like he was on patrol. He must have 8 big points standing broad side with his head up looking away from me. I mean maybe 25 yards. “Papp” went the CVA…WTH ..primer fired but no KA>>BAMM! … The guys at the range said always fire the gun with a primer and the gun unloaded before you hunt to clear the nipple. BTW..Webster dictionary only has one definition for the word Nipple. And it has nothing to do with Pipe fittings, Black powder rifles or other mechanical things. It’s definitely a guy terminology thing… But WTH …LOL
  8. it's privately owned. so picnicking allows alcohol or it did when I was there. Very congenial owners.. They limit the number of people in the water so that's nice. With temperatures in the upper 90's here in Fla. it is a retreat .
  9. My Yamaha SXS 700 has 4 x and lock diff. I have had to use it in wet clay with water standing in the bottom when carrying two people and stone. I saw where some ATV have lock diff but only front axle...???? Going to see the Honda dealer this week ...But sometimes the salesmen don't know much...
  10. Tartanpion was looking at a Black powder revolver....herewith is a pic of my Pietta. It has been shot a lot because it is a lot of fun . I use the powder flask with a calibrated spout for pistol loading. The cap holder is handy as the nipples on the Pietta are recessed of course. This reproduction is a Navy Revolver, the 'New Navy Revolver has a frame that covers the cylinder on the top. My under standing I'm not an expert. Just hang out with the guys at the range and listen...LOL There is a ball extractor shown ...I never use that. Air compressor will take a ball out... But Damn, be careful that ball will shoot out and dent Granma's freezer in the garage.
  11. Gooood Morning Devil's Den FLA....Take a dip in the crystal clear subterrain water and picnic at their great accommodations.. Located off US 27 (US 27 is a beautiful drive through Old Florida) and above the Ocala Forest there is Gret ATV areas around that area.
  12. Here is picture of switch assembly. I got lazy and bought the switch with CB and in line thermal OL. Notice the solder type ring terminals...very nice. I always struggle to find correct terminals for projects. The ring terminals should accept the #10 awg. Bought from Amazon...$41. I have quick disconects that I will use for bat.
  13. Yes the THHN was left over from a job and a friend gave it to me. I just received the switch assembly but i will send a picture.
  14. I did not see a post if you had  solved that problem?

    1. WeeBee

  15. Yes the electric ATV is not ready for me.. Deer stand...memories up north in winter by the time i slogged through the snow and got up in the stand I was sweaty. then froze my butt sitting and not moving LOL
  16. I think Danny, my cousin in law, got his from amazon. It probably was the 2.0 Hp Katol . Knowing Danny as their commercial has a video of very pretty girl in yoga pants changing a tire. maybe $1.3K. It's worth as the whole 'Clan' will use it. Farm people.
  17. You know what is better than the Harbor Freight Tire changer? My cousin's husband that just bought a brand new pneumatic Job-r-do!...LOL I always keep him supplied in wine. BTW..".Job-r-do" is a construction hillbilly phrase that covers a variety of tools and gadgets...
  18. I was looking at the Maxxis BigHorn (I like that name) vs the Kenda. The bighorn is less mud friendly than what I have now but smoother on the Road. They are more expensive vs the Kenda. The Kenda have a "Rim Guard" ...don't have a clue as to what that is..
  19. Gooood Morining (Its afternoon there now) Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo....The US Army and KFOR Flags still fly over Pristina below. You are the anchor of protection in the Balkans yet today. I remember the huge expansive, unbreeched 'Kill zone' around the Camp.
  20. Actually The Honda Four trax foreman is what I continue to go back to after looking at others. It has the best price also. However, The Yamaha has a bigger motor..........VVVRRRROOOOM! but More moola$$ I like the Manual trans as The hills are so steep as I clear brush and I like being in control...LOL
  21. also there are only three (3) manual trans i have found...Yamaha Raptor 700R... & Honda Four Trax 518 cc Foremaan & Suzuki King quad
  22. Goood MMMORRRNING Ohio State Fair in Columbus , Ohio! Huge agricultural private and Yes 4 H exhibits. The Hog show is my favorite. The Hogs now-adays don't look anything like my 4 H Tamworth Hog the neighbor gave me when I was a kid. Trace Adkins is appearing this year 🥰.
  23. I am confused as I look at buying an ATV...Maybe I am overthinking this. But Where is it made? E.G the Tracker 600 is assembled in the USA; however it is essentially a Taiwanese product o Kymco. Kymco is a huge mfg entity producing 500,000 vehicles a year. Moreover, Kymco sells ATV part to Kawsaki, Artic Cat, et al mfg who use Kymco components including motors. Indeed, people have found Artic Cat stickers on their Tracker ATVs. My concern is twofold: 1. new / replacement parts especially tariffs may affect supply chain. 2. Discontinued models and availability of electrical schematics.
  24. Good Morning Lexington, KY Horse capital of the world. It is the only place I have seen Boeing 747 horse transports. There are horse farm tours all over Lexington. A beautiful city, There are a lot of atv trails that are beautiful in the fall.
  25. Men have the advantage of untucked shirts and a belt clip or belt holsters..I have a couple. Women have the advantage of the purse holster.. My panty holster is not noticeable in jeans ..Not Yoga pants LOL...but its fairly quick to access. I hope i never use it.
