  1. There are some good 'You tube videos on 500 Honda Foremen coolant inspection / maintenance. Check those out. I could not find anything under Problems with the 2007 500 foreman having a systemic smoking problem problem. I am sure that is a nice machine manual transmission I believe .
  2. Up late, LOL,  but welcome

  3. OK i forgot to mention I use my Dremel tool with a buffing or a coarse buff brush. Herewith is a picture of the same revolver after using the Dremel tool. I am going to consult with my gunsmith about what finish would be best.
  4. OK i will show My Man cave Workshop...Its in the barn. The best part is the outside where I have my Coal Oil lantern that i converted to LED.. My dove and duck decoys hanging.. Fishing poles hanging above out of sight. Believe me it goes downhill from here ...my shop is a mess..
  5. Wow I feel for your little guy..

I am familiar with belt /clutch maintenance on big  Yamahas.

The You tubes i looked at mentioned :

    1.  There are two (2) speed limiters on that machine...but i am sure you checked that

    2. There is a "spark arrester" in exhaust that easily gets plugged.  That will limit power.

The dealer sould give some pointers.

BTW I have bought OEM parts off Amazon...Yeah they came in an official Yamaha parts wrapped container.  I have also bought OEM parts off EBAY...

If you are stuck with buying parts  go to the yamaha web site.  With your model number they will list parts WITH the yamaha part number.  So if you buy from Amazon or Ebay you can verify the correct OEM part with that number.

    Good luck

  6. I am a cheap skate..I got a 20 ft. boat trailer that had the 2x6 box tubing bunks rusted . IT was heavy with a 3500 lb Dexter axle. A guy gave me 3 x 3 angle that i welded (I'm a bubble gum welder) across the frame. The hydraulic surge brakes were shot so I ordered and installed electric brakes (Kit had everything including new axle bearings). BTW..I tow with a 2018 Tundra with factory trailer break controls...There is an electrical trick / modification you have to make on the trailer to accommodate the Tundra controls.
  7. Beautiful pics of active girls... I guess I my ride my SxS to relax exploring back roads and sites in W Va mostly. Ocala Forest in FLA is fun also ( Carry a Gun).
  8. I have to say that the Two Strokes are exciting to ride. I had a Polaris 90 cc that performed like a 250 cc when it hit its power curve. Working the RPM's to get a Two cycle up to its peak and then it explodes with performance is a physical high for me...I get sweaty thinking about it...LOL. Rebuilds and Maintenance on Two Cycles is easier. I am going to have to look at the KTM's..
  9. I would love to see the members Man Cave Work Shops. I need some ideas for mine ...
  10. Great fun here ..and I learn a lot.   My image makes me look old...Ha HA

  11. I am not a fan of Honda's, albeit their motors are legendarily tough and well built. They don't fail often. How did your problem happen? Motor ran HOT? I would want to know after replacing the head gasket ...planning the head for flatness etc. A friend of mine.....well ex friend I probably, Hà ha,.... managed an upscale golf course. They only ran Non-ethanol fuel in all the golf course equipment. He said it reduced motor failures and fuel related maintenance problems. He said the Non-ethanol fuel was 95 octane and reduced "pre-detonation"...I called it pinging.
  12. They have some really smart guys here...Me I can only look at my experience//I would look at coolant being low to point to water getting into combustion chamber. Look at oil...Is it milky brown showing water in oil? Compression test would be interesting.. Does it run strong or erratic? Oh my I feel for you...
  13. The action on the Colt .38 Detective special (top) is in very good. I have cleaned it up as it had lots of finish rust. I am going to smooth out some more pitting then Cold Blue it. I carry it a lot. The bottom revolver is a Hopkins & Allen .32 cal DA circa 1912. The action is still tight but it's a wall hanger. Polish and Blue...
  14. Thanks still shopping...BAdlands is popular...Looking at Wal Mart....( I have Wal mart stock) LOL. Also I want a front receiver hitch for my 700 viking SXS..some of the wenches...winches come with mounts.
  15. That is a good question. The Garands were soaked in cosmoline so they were easy to clean. The stocks on a 1791 Mauser i totally stripped and refinished. However, i did not like the finished stock as it looked too clean. I cleaned up my Carcano 6.5 mm stock to look like an Armory finish. I have an old revolver I am working on now to re blue or brown finish. I'll post a picture. I use penetrating oil and wrap it in a cloth to let penetrating oil to soak in over night.
  16. Battery COM (-) connections are worth checking. Do the panel lights go off when it shuts down? If so that's a clue. Lack of fuel (plugged fuel filter) would manifest itself by motor not increasing with throttle up. Sounds electrical.. The 'wiggle test' is a good check of poor connections. If when the motor is running wiggle / tug and pull (lightly) on everything to see if you cn cause a failure.
  17. BTW ...The man Cave looks good..with all those guns...mine is smaller.
  18. Impressive collection of firearms....I love Military firearms I have two M1Garands and several more. German , Russian Italian WWII rifles
  19. W Va if you 'Trailer' your ATV must have a certificate of title ...not registered with the state ...but proof you own the ATV...Other than that drive your ATV wherever. In FLA put a shovel in the back and you are on an Agricultural treck. THats what my dealer said...In rural areas there's no problem. driving on paved roads.
  20. I am sorry but another stupid question. Is the poly rope wench better or as good as the steel cable wench? I would be using the wench to get out of a stuck situation and to pull brush.
  21. My motivation:
  22. Hey, glad to be here hoping to learn a lot...I have a VW sand rail and a SXS. Love shooting sports and my Bonsai.
  23. Also wanting a winch..is the 'wireless' control better than the hard wired control?
