  1. Back on topic...

The Brute has been clean twice: when it was brand new and when it had some service done and they Simple-Greened the whole thing. I doubt it will ever be this clean again, but hey, it's supposed to be dirty! I try my best to wash it after every ride but there's so many places that mud likes to get stuck that it's impossible to make it perfect.

    And how it normally looks:

  2. Ride for fun. If I was a sport-quad guy, I might get into racing, but as of now I'll stick to cruising the trails and just riding to have fun. OK, I'll do a drag race once-in-a-while against my dad or brother, but that's it really...no real racing here.

For me, riding is a release from stress...I don't want to be stressed out about a race!

EDIT: Just realized this is the girl's section of the forum. I'm a guy, for the record! Sorry 'bout tha'!

  3. I've never been to October Mountain, but I've heard a good deal about it from the guys on Northeastatvers.com. They nicknamed it "Rocktober" because the terrain is mostly rocky. It seems like a great place to ride to me; I'll be going there with my dad and brother once we get a new trailer (and once all my college applications are done)...hopefully before the season ends (MA state parks close to ATVs on the last weekend of November). There's supposedly miles of great trails, and I hear that at the top of the mountain there's some good mud pits.

If you go, be sure to let me know how it is. Have you been to Pittsfield, Beartown, and Tolland?

  4. I haven't played it yet, and probably won't for a long time. None of my friends are at all into video games and my 360 died a few weeks ago...not going to have it fixed because I'm saving money...

Looks like a wicked awesome game though!

  5. I'll warn ya.....the main trails there are all dirt roads......but all the side trails are awesome!! All the side trails are all mud!

Nice! Sounds perfect to me. If you've ever heard of Maybrook (which got shut down), that's exactly how it used to be...loved that place...

  6. I'm a fan of semi-autos as well (brother has an Ozark), but put simply, I don't think there's a huge market for semi-autos any more. Most people are getting into autos for the ease of use and rideability. I love having an auto on my Brute Force...I think it would be outrageous to have a semi-manual/manual on it because of how much power there would be to control.

OK, thanks. Wasn't sure what to do, kind of messed everything up (as you could tell) and got frustrated so I gave up.

  8. polaris has a new 550 also. i think it has EPS too.

    face it buckbilly.

auto is the future of utilities.

No, automatics are now! How many utility quads out there have manuals, or even semi-manuals? Exactly. There's a reason. Manuals/semi-manuals may be more rider-friendly, but autos are easier to use and to operate.

BuckBilly, I meant Yamaha has the entire model range covered, and covered well. Arctic Cat's smaller utility quads (under the 400, which is a great machine itself) aren't too good, and Polaris has its issued too (not just the weight or reliability).
