Howdy y'all, I'm trying to fix a neighbors 2015 Brute Force 300. Came in with hard to start and won't idle except on choke issue. I pulled the carb and found the pilot jet as well as the emulsion tube partially clogged. Cleaned up everything, put it back together, still having issues... It will start right up on choke and will also start off choke if you give it just a touch of throttle but it absolutely will not idle unless it's choked just a touch. Also, excuse my ignorance but I'm assuming the "dial" thingy attached to the carb that turns in and out is for setting idle??

Hello all, I am working on a MXU 270 and having the hardest time finding information. I recently saw a youtube video that claims the MXU 270 is mechanically the same as the Bruteforce 300. Can anyone confirm?

Hi all, Picked up my first Brute Force yesterday. What should have been an awesome afternoon of riding turn a bit into a deception. As I was unable to really take it out for a test drive at the shop, I decided to buy it and agreed that I would take the test drive at home. When giving full throttle I noticed that the Brute was choking and lost all of its powers. Faulty fuel pump most likely. Called the shop and the are coming to pick it up and repair it and bring it back. Good service. Nevertheless feels a bit sour in the mouth as I was told it was a 100% good. Need to have some patience I now before I can really start riding. Cheers, Erik

Hey all, I work for a fleet shop and we have a lifeguard ATV its a Kawasaki brute force 650. Its back firing through one carb more than the other one and back firing through the exhaust. Starts up and idles good, once you start giving it throttle it acts as if its starving for fuel. This thing gets tons of beach sand thrown at it 24/7. Things that have been replaced are: both new carbs, new fuel pump, new plugs. Things that have been checked: Compression is good - in range (high end of the range) also have ohm'd the coils and the resistance is within spec in the service manual. Fuel pick up is clean, no debris or restriction there. Does any body have any other ideas what it could be? Thanks for any input

The muscular Brute Force 750 4x4 ATV picked up a ton of upgrades for the 2012 model. An Electric Power Steering (EPS) system is one of the biggest changes, but other new features like a more-powerful V-twin engine, new double-wishbone front suspension, six-spoke cast alloy wheels and new bodywork featuring wide-stance styling cues help share the load. HMF ATV exhaust systems have always responded well to the Brute Force engine. The 2012 model picks up a lot of horse power and torque, especially on the Swamp series. Swamp Series The Swamp is great for it's large mechanical core that directs and controls sound pulses to keep sound levels approximately 1-2 dB over stock. Performance Series The HMF Performance Series has a specially designed, unrestricted core that allows the exhaust to increase power evenly throughout the entire power curve. It also features the signature HMF sound with industry-leading end cap and color options, giving you a completely custom look. Penland Pro Series Backed by ATV legend Mike Penland, the Penland Series was developed for serious off road racers and trail riders striving to achieve more low end torque. The Penland features the same core as the Performance Series, but features the removable TRM that allows quads to hook-up in rough conditions. Swamp XL Series The younger brother of the Swamp Series, the Swamp XL Series (extra loud) offers anywhere between 1-2 more horse power than the standard Swamp Series. What makes the Swamp XL different than the Swamp Series is the non-restrictive core that produces very high dB sound levels. Each HMF Exhaust: Includes a USFS Approved Spark Arrester. Includes a 2 Year Limited Manufacturer’s Warranty. Is made of high quality Aluminum, Stainless Steel, or Carbon Kevlar. Packed with high performance glass wool packing. Includes Installation Instructions. Manufactured in the U.S.A. Don't Forget: Whenever you add an after-market exhaust system to your machine, tuning your carburetor is, in most cases, an absolute necessity. The proper jets and EFI settings are extremely important for the performance and lifespan of your machine.Tuning Kits are available to ensure your machine runs at it's top performance and your HMF Warranty remains valid. HMF Exhaust is available on Amazon!
