  1. Hey all, looking for some input on this, I have an HMF performance series slip on exhuast on my 08 yfz 450 and was wondering if I could get by state regulated sound levels with it. I think the michigan state regulated sound level is 94 db maybe 99 but pretty sure its 94. So I kind of need to know this soon because I might be making a trip to an ORV park this weekend and wanna make sure my quad will be legal to ride there before I waste gas to get there. Thanks!
  2. The muscular Brute Force 750 4x4 ATV picked up a ton of upgrades for the 2012 model. An Electric Power Steering (EPS) system is one of the biggest changes, but other new features like a more-powerful V-twin engine, new double-wishbone front suspension, six-spoke cast alloy wheels and new bodywork featuring wide-stance styling cues help share the load. HMF ATV exhaust systems have always responded well to the Brute Force engine. The 2012 model picks up a lot of horse power and torque, especially on the Swamp series. Swamp Series The Swamp is great for it's large mechanical core that directs and controls sound pulses to keep sound levels approximately 1-2 dB over stock. Performance Series The HMF Performance Series has a specially designed, unrestricted core that allows the exhaust to increase power evenly throughout the entire power curve. It also features the signature HMF sound with industry-leading end cap and color options, giving you a completely custom look. Penland Pro Series Backed by ATV legend Mike Penland, the Penland Series was developed for serious off road racers and trail riders striving to achieve more low end torque. The Penland features the same core as the Performance Series, but features the removable TRM that allows quads to hook-up in rough conditions. Swamp XL Series The younger brother of the Swamp Series, the Swamp XL Series (extra loud) offers anywhere between 1-2 more horse power than the standard Swamp Series. What makes the Swamp XL different than the Swamp Series is the non-restrictive core that produces very high dB sound levels. Each HMF Exhaust: Includes a USFS Approved Spark Arrester. Includes a 2 Year Limited Manufacturer’s Warranty. Is made of high quality Aluminum, Stainless Steel, or Carbon Kevlar. Packed with high performance glass wool packing. Includes Installation Instructions. Manufactured in the U.S.A. Don't Forget: Whenever you add an after-market exhaust system to your machine, tuning your carburetor is, in most cases, an absolute necessity. The proper jets and EFI settings are extremely important for the performance and lifespan of your machine.Tuning Kits are available to ensure your machine runs at it's top performance and your HMF Warranty remains valid. HMF Exhaust is available on Amazon!
  3. I just received the HMF 2010 Competition Series pipe. When I received the box it was in perfect condition, and upon opening the box I found that HMF actually spends time packing the box. It was carefully wrapped and secured so there was no movement. From first glance you can tell the superior craftsmanship, beautiful welds and sealing job. This pipe looks flawless. From the extremely shiny end cap to the nice black powder coat on the canister, this pipe looks like a work of art. Included with the pipe were 2 different end pieces. I thought this was really cool. Other companies force you to spend additional money on pieces to lower the db output. HMF gives you three different sound level options with the purchase of the pipe. Additional hardware for mounting was also included. Installation was pretty straight forward. Since I just got the slip on I left my head pipe attached to the motor. The HMF midpipe slid very nicely over the existing head pipe. HMF also included a very nice and sturdy clamp to secure the mid pipe to the head pipe. When mounting the silencer I had to use stock hardware for the mounting bracket on the mid pipe. Worked beautifully with no headache. The bracket that is on the pipe lined up perfect with the mounting point on the frame. The bracket on the canister was a bit more tricky. I had to use the longer bolt and spacer that HMF supplied. I had to really force the pipe towards the frame to get the pipe close to the bracket. Once I got the pipe fully mounted I was impressed on the tight fit and the look it added to my TRX450R compared to my previous aftermarket pipe. W hen I first fired up the quad after installation I was stoked to hear the deep, throaty rumble that HMF pipes are known for. When I stabbed the throttle it is an absolutely beautiful growl. I couldn’t believe the power gains over my previous 2 Brothers pipe. My first ride with it was at the local MX track. The pipe was a bit louder than my 2 Brothers pipe but the deep throaty sound was a welcoming sound. The pipe is very sharp looking, I had three people that day asking me where I had picked it up. I have this pipe pared up with a Stage 2 cam and all I can say is WOW! I had the same cam installed with my previous pipe but did not feel anything close to the same pull and power. My overall thoughts on the HMF 2010 Competition Series are that they spent a lot of time designing this pipe. From the extreme good looks of the pipe to the mean sounding growl this pipe has it all. I was absolutely amazed at the gains my quad received from installing just the slip on. I believe that HMF created an absolute work of art with this pipe. Visit HMF Racing to order yours! 5. I am looking for a stock pipe for my 2007 king quad 700. I have an HMF performance pipe that I will trade straight up for the pipe. If I did this right, there should be some pictures of it below.
