So, as the title implies... green light, no electric start. 84 Honda trx200. If I jump the solenoid it cranks. Wiring good. Continuity on start button. Thought, bad solenoid. New one, same results. Bad inhibitor switch?? 🤔

Hello! New here. Acquired an '84 Honda TRX200 a few years ago. Grandkids started tearing it apart and then lost interest. interest has been renewed, so we're putting it back together. Mainly needs tires/tubes(?) and a battery. We moved it to make space and discovered it was stuck in gear. Not sure which LOL. Searching for a manual so I can go through it and familiarize myself with the mechanics and wiring. The wiring is a MESS! Seems previous owner lost the key and was trying to delete the switch. I've owned several Honda motorcycles over the years, but this is first ATV. just looking through the wiring mess, appears not much has changed. Last Honda was a 750. I'm also a mechanic so really just a walk in the park to get this one going... I hope! LOL The engine turns easy and sound to have compression when the starter rod is pulled. Hello all, I have brought an 84 TRX 200 back to life and unfortunately whomever dug into it first removed the two trim pieces that go around the gas tank. I was thinking someone on the site may have an old parts bike with these pieces lying around..... If so, drop me a message and we can make a deal. I just want to complete the bike! Thanks, Jason

Can someone tell me if the wheel cylinders for the 1986 Honda Fourtrax TRX200 match other years and models? I can't find a 1986 wheel cylinder rebuild kit on the internet. I see a TRX250 and wondered if it was a match. Which models use the same caliper?

Just got an old TRX 200 1984. starter is working when testing it but not working when pushing the start button. any ideas^

Hi, I just restart my old Honda TRX 200 1984 from my garage, I clean the carb but a new sparkplug and start it with a car booster battery (battery was dead). It start and i'm able to ride but sometime i'm just hearing a little "click" sound and when I heard that in same time the motor seems wanted to stop and immediattely after everything seems to work. Does someone could let me know where my problem could be? The Coil, the cdi....

I've got a 84 trx 200 and recently it started smoking instantly under the exhaust manifold. This happens right when I fire it up. Any ideas of what it could be? Thanks for all your help! - Dave
