2000 Polaris Xplorer 250 oil pump questions

Just did a top end on a 2000 Xplorer 250. I premixed the first gallon so I could check the oil pump. At idle it fills the tube and drips very very slowly. When I rev it up and hold the lever open the oil runs out very slowly. I checked, and it does make pressure when I hold the lever up, but it doesn't really seem to at idle. Do you guys think my pump is OK? Also, what years used the plastic pump gear? Thanks for your help, Dave

      Hi guys, I was given a 2000 Honda Recon fourtrax 250 (I think that's the full name lol). The previous owner had it sitting for a while before I got it. It sat for another few years in my ownership. I got it up and going on its first test drive today!! I was wondering where everyone buys their parts from?  Coming from the car community, we have sites like RockAuto and many more. Anything like that for quads? Also would like to be pointed in a direction, if possible, for plastics. I am missing a few and would like to have it complete. I appreciate any input!

      Check your dealer for new tires..

      Just some friendly advice on new tires. Check with your ATV dealer. 
      There are so many aftermarket sites, Revco, Royal Distributing, Partzilla, and on and on. Even with their “ big sales”, my local Canam dealer’s REGULAR price beat the tire prices of the 3rd party sellers! People often assume the Dealership will cost them more, but I found this not to be true!

      2000 polaris Xplorer 400 and 1995 Polaris Sportsman.

      Problem number 1,
      2000 Polaris Xplorer 400.  No start, has spark. Has fuel ,found Low Compression less than 60 psi.  What to do next?? Going crazy here.  
      Problem number 2. 
      1994 polaris Sportsman 400 starter won't engage.  Button on left side with  light switch seems to be almost stuck in, weak spring behind button?
       
      Any help would be nice.

      That one bolt that just won't let go

      I am trying to rebuild an engine for a '97 Kawasaki Prairie that I recently picked up. There is one head bold that just won't let go. Nothing I do seems to make a difference. I have been putting penetrating lube on it for two days straight and I am afraid it is going to break on me. What is your best advice for getting the sucker out? I have tried a rechargeable impact, a pneumatic impact and penetrating lube.
