90% of the guys on trackshare are very respective towards each other's groups ,but there's a few on there that just don't care. It's the same argument every year lol. I obviously do both and it's a shame that they both don't get along well here.

I would hate it if one or the other was tearing up the trails. I recall riding upstate NY one winter years ago and it was frowned upon to be on the sledding trails.

Up here most trails are on crown land, and legally you can still ride an atv or drive a truck on our sled trails. It's completely disrespectful but it happens A LOT here, which is why I lost it in that thread. They don't think they destroy the trails, but the do very much ..which the sledders pay for ,at the tune of 150.00 per year . Some guys just don't get it,but it's a problem that will likely never go away. What should happen is allow the atvers the opportunity to purchase a trail pass ,and contibute to the system. .only problem is its an old law and revisiting it for the purpose of allowing atvs the opportunity, will likely never happen.  Trails would also have to be widened ,which would be a lot of volunteer work .

So, i go to change the oil in my 2k Y 400 BB and, without reading what types of oil to use, i just put in 10w-40 motor oil.....then i decided to read exactly what type of oil i should be using. Apparently, the ATV oil is designed to also work with the clutch..lol...which is probably  why i was having a few issues going into the gears, or, maybe losing 1st gear going down a hill. Ok, now that i got educated i bought like 6 quarts of the "special" oil required.
Now, my second issue is it was hard to start for some reason. Usually it fires right up. So, once started i brought it up to the garage and removed the seat, thinking maybe the battery was weak from sitting. Nope...12.5 volts, but.....a mouse decided to build his nest right on top of the battery. I cleaned that all out, but, when i went to start it, the solenoid clicks and the starter just spins. UGH. One thing after another. No wires were chewed thankfully. Just kind weird the starter would do that all of a sudden when i messed with the oil.
Do i need to pull the starter now and check the bendix thing? It spens real nice, it just won't engage. The wrong oil wouldn't do that...would it?

Bought a new throttle cable for an 87 Honda trx250.   It measures to be a 10mm.  When I went to the hardware store to buy the tap i took the cable with me for good measure and the employee helping me said "oh those have a special pitch and a regular 10mm tap wont work".   Is he correct??   Thanks

Figured I would start one thread instead of starting a new one every time I share a video.

Does anyone own or has owned a Yamaha Banshee ATV? I saw a few posted for sale and decided to start a thread and would like to hear the good, the bad, the ugly...
There are some nice modded ones I've seen online (pictures below). Post a pic if you own one.
