93 bayou 400 4x4 loud noisy metallic chatter

Just got my first Kawasaki atv 93 bayou 400 4x4 runs great no smoke no leaks even the brakes work just one problem there is a metallic chatter noise coming from the bike have run the bike often since I picked it up runs like new just noisy as can be what are y'alls thoughts on what it could possibly be

try unplugging your voltage regulator. might be over charging and messing with your electronic ignition, basically creating spark knock

That's a good suggestion by @karow1972 but does it sound like an engine chatter or something Iike exhaust or something else rattling around?

Willing to try anything bikes in excellent shape rides good no leaks no smoke just loud previous owner told me about the chatter but said it had made that sound since he had it noise just makes me a little nervous

Is it making the noise all the time or only while moving?

check if a rock is lodged in there somewhere

It might be the baffles inside the muffler..they break loose sometimes..if you take the muffler off and something is rattling around..that is the problem.

My dad's grizzly 660 had this and it was the muffler making all the racket.

Could also be valves needing adjustment.
