Some of that Mud and Water stuff is just too much for me.....I ride AROUND that Stuff and it looks like you guys are Headed for it....I just dont understand.....!!!

However,,,,,,Some Hella Kewl Pictures.....What camera are you using????

Around???

BAH!!!!!

I guess I shouldn't talk....I'll ride through that stuff and avoid the steep hill climbs! LOL!!!!

I shoot with 2 Canon 20D digitals.....I'm too lazy to change lenses

Actually, the shot of me in the KTM shirt in the mud was taken with my friend's 10D.

Ive got the Canon Reble XTI EOS......Gotta Love that thang!!!!

Rebel series is a great line of cameras....I started out with the original Digital Rebel when I bought my first DSLR back in 2000 or so........hated the ergonomics, but loved the quality......so, since I had already invested in Canon glass....it was onward an upward!

Can't afford crap now.....LOL!!!!!!

Anyone want to hire a slow quad riding photographer?!?!?!??!

I hear ya,,,,Glass isnt cheap and if you have to re outfit because you switched Brands of Camera then your in for a Nice BIG BILL!!!! I need more Glass!!!! Right now I have a

Fixed 50mm 1.8 that I use for indoors when my son Races....

The Stocker 18-55mm

and my 70-300 with Image Stabilizer....Its nice for when your out at a Track or something....Or when my wife likes to take Bird Pics.....

Id like to get some Wide Angle, More zoom and also play around with some Macro Stuff....

I like to shoot in Manual Mode too....Its fun and Frustrating trying to get Everything Tuned just right....

Ah....the Nifty Fifty....best $75 I've ever spent

(except for that Catherine Zeta Jones look-a-like

hooker from the Borneo trip...but that's another story)

And that stocker 18-55 is NOT a bad piece of glass....I was incredibly surprised how sharp it was for a plastic lens....it went with the Rebel when I sold it....

I had the 75-300 USM IS and it was a piece of walrus crap....

Haven't played with the 70-300, but from what I've read on the photo forums I belong to, it's an improvement over the 75-300.

WA just rocks...I picked up the Canon EF-S 10-22 and just go nuts with it:

_MG_5257

_MG_4222

For zoom, I have the 100-400 L and would LOVE one day to get the 70-200 f/2.8 IS USM....throw a 1.4x teleconverter on that puppy and I'm set for sports.....

Macro...I have the Canon 100mm f/2.8...awesome for macros and portraits....

But, the Sigma macros (60mm, 90mm, 180mm) are on par with the Canons and less expensive.....IMNSHO

I won't shoot manual on a paying gig (which are few and far between :D) unless I have the environment NAILED...which has happened a few times....

Mostly, for pay stuff, I'll shoot Av outdoors and Tv indoors and meter with the flash and a shutter speed good enough for the indoors.

I'll muck around a lot with manual on personal shoots....but pretty much stick with Av.

I'm dying to head up to the Walden, NY MX track for some quad racing....but after talking with the owner/operator, my vantage point may not be all that great....and I've run out of bribe money!

Oh...and as far as switching systems.....

Lenses hold their resale value for the most part...it's the bodies you take a beating on.....but it can be done without much impact to the coffee can stuffed with bills buried in yer backyard.....

Right now, I have no reason to switch.....I'm not anti-Nikon, anti-Sony, anti-anything.....I'm broke as hell and the 2 Canon 20Ds still do what I want them too....

Ugh....

What's the best kids atv out there? I've seen everything from the ones released by the major manufacturers to all those knock offs. Kawasaki has a KFX 50 that is pretty nice for under $1800...

We rode here the day before the event. This is a DCNR state forest trail system. The story behind the name is miners would put their bottles of whiskey in the local springs to keep them cold until their shift was over. Part of the trail system is on old strip mines so some areas are barren, others are full forest.
