1991 TRX300FW Brake Bleeding.

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone.  Brian McNew here.  I’m a Shreveporter.  I have an old 1991 Honda I am partially rebuilding.  I’ve had it stored for many years.  I have cleaned up the back end and am now trying to bleed the front brakes.  I now know why this process is reserved for the 7th level or hell.  I am having no luck.  This is a nightmare and the last thing I need to do.  I have watched videos and done everything I am supposed to and cannot get anywhere.  I posted in the main forum and here as well.

i want to get it back running to go joy riding.  Any advice.

1996 4x4 Timberwolf rearend width. Can someone with some knowledge of these machines answer this question for me please. Are all 4x4 timberwolves this narrow in the rearend? These tires are so close the right one actually rubs the muffler.  Thinking about seeing if there are any spacers out there for it. I need at least an inch more clearance.

This is something I'm extremely curious about. Has anyone ever attempted to buy a quad (or any other vehicle) from an impound lot? I've always wondered if this could be a bargain, or a waste of time. Google searches do turn up some helpful results. Looks like the state of NJ holds auctions online which I'd be a bit hesitant about.

My online searches haven't really turned up any results of anyone buying an ATV this way. I'd be really curious if anyone tried this, or knows someone who has. I've actually found a couple pages with online auctions for my state, but none had ATVs.

Recently picked up a 1991 Lt230e for repair. Compression is a little low Id say, around 80psi, I also have spark but the spark is odd . When cranking the spark is a constant arc. I’ve got it to sputter but never fully turn on. I believe the spark is my issue, being constant and not detonating at the right time. I’m not sure whether this issue is an electrical fault like some missing ground, a faulty cdi, or a timing issue. Any ideas where I should start?

I have to replace all 4, how much is involved?  Will they slide out of the front yoke? Or, do the boots just slide over the wheel end?
