That plug is usually up in one of the holes on the skid plate.  It’s definitely there so you are going to have to really get under it and feel around.  Even wash it out. I had a Yamaha with  a skid plate.  It was packed with dried mud.  After a little hosing down and looking I found it.   As far as the oil level there should be a sight glass or an indicator level on the oil plug almost like a dip stick but one or the other it’s there.   As far as oil a good 10w40 will be fine.  There was actually a topic on this today in the forum about oils.  Take a look.

Be gentle with that oil plug when removing and reinstalling. You over tighten it and it strips or even worse crack the engine casing  where the threads are.

That transmission plug should have a hex head flush type drain plug and it should be on the bottom same side as the fill cap.  Some of the engines on other manufacturers bikes had the gear boxes built right into the engine where the engine oil was also the gear box oil. Both pros and cons . I believe your bike has a separate transmission, locate the fill cap and look under the bike in the same area.

I just bought a 1984 Suzuki LT185 ATV and am looking for the OWNER’S manual. ( not a service manual)
I contacted Suzuki Canada but they have no paper or digital copies in their archives.
Does anyone possibly have a digital copy they’d be willing to share?

      Hey everyone,
I’m having an issue with my 2021 Polaris Sportsman 570 – the engine keeps stalling after running for about 10–15 minutes. I’ve checked the air filter, spark plug, and fuel lines, but can’t seem to find the root of the problem. It starts up just fine, but then loses power suddenly.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue with this model/year? Would appreciate any advice or troubleshooting tips you’ve tried that worked. Thanks in advance for your help!

I am trying to diagnose a no spark issue with my 02 Big Bear 400 and I am really hoping it is not a CDI.  I have done the test on the stator and I believe that is faulty.  I ordered a new aftermarket one from a the jungle website and it tested bad right out of the box so I am waiting for a different one to arrive from an ATV parts supplier.  I started looking out of curiosity at CDI units and it seems if it is for a big bear you are SOL.  Kodiaks, no problem.  Big Bear. No such luck.
