The instruction show connecting the "bright" center brke light to the Right "bright " brake light,  S yes it will blink with the Right turn light as wellas when Brakes are applied.

I have electric brakes (7pin connector) so i could wire it to the brake circuit...Duh never thought about that...

I meant the trailer harness is probably a 4 pin connection since it is only lights. You have the center light connected to the right turn wire. The center light can only be a marker light, not a brake light with a 4 pin connection.

New replacement trailer lights came with a Center Brake light.  That's nice  the more who can see my little tail end the better.

However following instructions with kit the center light comes on with Brakes very bright,  lower illumination with running kights. However, the center light comes on also with the RIGHT turn light and does not come on with left turn..

Any solution to have it :

A. Only come on with braking

Or

B. Come on with left  and right turn lights

There is a way to do "B" but the center light will blink with either turn signal activated. It will glow bright with brake applied. It is a bit of a hack. If thats good for you, I will post the solution

"A" cannot be done with 4 pin connection.

Yes you are right...I have a 7 pin connector as the trailer has electric brakes ...I installed them;  really proud of that .  But the LED center light has three leads bat(-) and a bright light lead and a less bright lead.   I should have thought and wired the bright light (brake light) lead to my electric brake circuit...Brain dead sometimes..OMG  😵‍💫

I don't think that would be a good idea, but I am not sure. My understanding of the brake lead is proportional to how much you step on the brakes proportional to the electric brake controller in the vehicle. It is calibrated by trailer weight so the trailer brakes operate proportional to the vehicle brakes. That lead is connected to the trailer brakes and activates them when the brakes are pressed in the vehicle. If that circuit is screwed with, it might flash on your dash "trailer disconnected" Plus you must have a battery connected to it on the trailer so in the event the trailer breaks free of the vehicle. the onboard battery activates the brakes and stops the trailer.

Yeah you are right about the break away...I did not provide for that circuit.  In addition, With My single axle Electric brakes I had to parallel an incandescent trailer License plate light with the electric  brake circuit just to have enough circuit  resistance to let the Tundra Mfg Trailer control know that the brakes are there (Trailer disconnected connected alarm).  With that the brakes work fine. The truck mfg trailer brake control has a manually adjustable "Gain" for the braking function depending on load.  The paralleled light comes on whenever the brakes are applied.  Without that load when brakes are not engaged I would get a "trailer Disconnected alarm".

If I had Hydraulic over electric brakes (that is another setting on the mfg brake control) the pump motor load probably would not necessitate additional resistance.

I want to have a lighter trailer...Aluminum ...that I can pull with my Highlander AWD with my 1450Lb Yamaha SXS.  Its 122 " X 64"  w 84 inch WB.

Has any one fitted out a naked frame aluminum trailer like that...I found Northern Supply has one < $900 but it is 5 Ft x 8 ft.

What is the towing capacity of the vehicle?

With the Viking at 1450 and trailer at 900 lbs  I am well below the tow capacity  rating.

Will the wheels fit between the trailer fenders?  If you have to do a custom deck that sits above the fenders on that 5’, you may want to consider a 6’ wide trailer to keep the center of gravity lower.

My friend  had a otorcycle enclosed trailer with "no axle" wheels...Maybe Timbren.  He was impressed how smooth the trailer performed

That also alows lower deck height.

Checking weight specifications of Aluminum vs Steel I found a 20% weight reduction. However, that amount to only about 100+lbs on a 8 X 5 ft trailer frame.

Check out Alumna Trailers & see if they offer anything you'd be interested in ?

Yes ...what about the no axle wheels....

Sadly I've No experience with that style of wheel setup.

I use rivets to fasten sheet metal parts together.  Rivets are cheap, hold tight and are almost flush with surface.

I used 10 penny nails as rivets here.

      Hello,

Pondering on what would be better in terms of practicality vs. money spent. The ATV will be a small 125 cc Chinese brand that can be fully contained in a small euro-van (VW Caddy)

      1. Load the ATV on a trailer while riding it.
Need to buy the ATV + hook + trailer (+ ramp?) and work on the car to mount the tow hook, of course.
Perhaps I can find a trailer than can do this -
Side question: what sort of mechanism that allows such loading is that, or, in other words, what sort of trailer am I looking for ?

      2. Load the ATV inside the mini-van.
Need to buy the ATV + ramp.
Also need to push it inside as riding it won't be possible. The thing will weight some 100 kilos, about 1.5 times my body weight. I shall go for the longest ramps that will fit into the van, but still, not sure I can push it in and pull it out of the van without cursing my life - if at all doable.

What do you guys think ?

Hi everyone and thanks for reading.
My husband and me are getting ready to host the 2nd Quad Runners event at our nudist campground. The first one (last year) went pretty well with about 20 quads attending and have to say, it was a smaller group, but they made up for their size with the large interest in partying and there was plenty of nudity as the Saturday night went on.
We have decided to host another one this summer, but we are looking for some fun (but safe) riding events. Our grounds are almost all flat and remember we are a nudist campground so many of us are bare as* naked so "slow ride" events would be the best.
Give us your thoughts and ideas and feel free to ask us anything you would like, and we will answer right here in the thread.
Thanks for your help and ride safe.
BTW, let us know what "anything goes" means for this thread section.

      Hi all,

I am wondering if any of you have a Clutch Starter gear from a 1988 era quadrunner 250 sitting around that you could get me a precise measurement of the outer diameter of the race the sprag engages onto, for me? I need to machine a damaged race down and install a hardened sleeve and need that measurement (it's on a different gear than the OEM one, so I can't buy and use a OEM gear).

Hi guys, I was given a 2000 Honda Recon fourtrax 250 (I think that's the full name lol). The previous owner had it sitting for a while before I got it. It sat for another few years in my ownership. I got it up and going on its first test drive today!! I was wondering where everyone buys their parts from?  Coming from the car community, we have sites like RockAuto and many more. Anything like that for quads? Also would like to be pointed in a direction, if possible, for plastics. I am missing a few and would like to have it complete. I appreciate any input!
