Hello Guys!

Dumb question. How much oil registers on the oil level gauge while running? The oil level reads correct when off, but while running I can only see just a little bit in the oil level gauge. Makes wonder if the oil isn't circulating well enough.

Also, whats your preference in battery brands for ATV's (standard or AGM). We don't ride it all that often.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Welcome to Quadcrazy @Maxx.  Oil levels in the gauge/sight glass wont be accurate when running. Oil is consistently flowing through the engine so its never all in the same place for an accurate oil reading.  If your not getting an accurate reading then its safe to say its ok.    Engine off, wait 15 minutes and take an oil reading. You will be at 97%  accuracy of your dipstick or sight glass.  The other 3% is still in the head or lining the engine walls.  As far as battery ratings; go on Amazon, there are tons so have at it. I personally like the pirate battery

Thanks for the replies Frank and AJ! I'm new to this kind of stuff, and there's so many brands to choose from with regard to batteries and parts. I'd rather ask here than possibly take to heart a review from someone that just doesn't under stand how to keep a battery charged. But again thank you for helping me out.

Just picked up an 84 LT185 ATV, I understand there was an accessory add  on that gave it electric start, anyone have any info about that kit?

Hi all.  New to the forum & quads.  Seems like a great place full of info.
I just recently picked up a 2005 Suzuki KingQuad LTA700.  I need a battery.  I've been reading up on conventional vs AGM types.  I have a Royal Distributing and Canadian Tire.  RD has 2 types avail for my year/Model a battery YTX16-BS CRANK $75, and BATTERY YTX20CH-BS YUASA $140.  Neither of these is the type from the manual FTZ16-BS.
from what I can tell... I think the only difference is the capacity with the $75 unit rated at 14 AH/10HR and the $140 unit rated at 18 AH/10HR ... which is the rating in the manual for the FTZ16-BS.  How much does this make a difference for nearly x2 the cost?
And about the models/type numbers.... what is important to know ... they all end in "-BS" but are the other details relevant or just manufacturer naming?

      Hi all,
Looking for some help on a starter/bendix issue. Can Am outlander 450 2017. While cranking to start, the starter spins and engages into the ring gear. After a few seconds the bendix retracts while still spinning and there is no damaged teeth on the drive pulley.

Good morning, checking in from Southern Ontario, I have 3 quads. 201 Honda Forman 450S, 2007 Suzuki King quad 450 and a 2021 Polaris 570 sportsman. My wife and I do a fair amount of riding but hoping to do more this year.
