So I live in WNY and have been riding 3 wheelers since we bought a couple Big Reds new in 1982!  I have a vast collection of 3 wheelers... 85 ATC70, 70 US90 Aquarius Blue, 83 ATC110, 83 ATC185s, 83 ATC185s w/PK Rear Suspension Kit, 81 ATC200, 85 YTM200ERN, 84 YTM225DX with Reverse added,  85 ATC250ES Big Red, 82 ATC250R, 82 ATC250R with Hondaline 300 Kit, 86 ATC350X rider, and a 85 ATC350X... "the Hondaline Special!"   If anyone has 3 wheeler issues or questions, feel free to replay here!

However, I do have a couple token 4WDs... an 87 and a 89 LT-4WD Suzukis.  I am currently working on replacing the one-way starter clutch in my 89.  What a pain!  WAY too many items to be removed to access the left side cover.  However, doing better than what the Suzuki manual says... they say to remove the motor!  I was able to do some engineering fanangling... lol

Nice to hear I'm not alone!:)

ATC's are my biggest love too for some reason. I have three in my collection at the moment, an 84 200ES (in restoration), an 83 200E and their baby 83 ATC70. I'm also restoring a 350X for a friend and have also his 84 200E in storage. I would love to own an older 110 and a 250SX too, if I ever manage to find those! (I live in Europe, so it's not easy to find 3 wheelers here...)

Just got my first 4WD quad, and that is a 1990(I think...) Suzuki LT-4WD. Got a great deal on it, and I think its 4WD system is better than on any Honda!

Welcome to QUADCRAZY! That's quite a collection you have there.

We do have an ATC forum if you are interested in reading some older topics: https://www.quadcrazy.com/atvforum/11-atc-3-wheeler-forum/

Thanks man... I will check it out!  I also have a bunch of 3 wheeler related PDFs of service manuals, owners manuals, parts manuals, setup instructions, etc to add....

Cool,  We had an 82 and then a 83 Big Red new when I was a kid.  I still remember seeing the line up of ATC's in the showroom in our local Honda dealer.  I have some cool promo items from 83 too... Honda playing cards, and some jig-saw puzzles too!

Yes, I have an 87 and an 89 LT-4WD as I stated.  If it is a 90, they changed the carb that year to the diaphragm type instead of the CV slide carb.  The VIN number is on the rear frame down pipe.  You should be able to determine the model year from that.  Funny thing.... the NY title for my 89 states it is a 1991.  So I bought parts for the carb and learned my lesson, as the VIN came back as a 1989, and as I said, the carbs and exhaust changed in 1990!   It definitely is a unique 4x4 system with the Hi-Lo and Super Low and the Differential Lock too.

Man, that must have been a sight seeing all those brand new ATC's! I was born in 82, so my memories are a bit hazy back from the early 80s... LOL!

Yes, it's got that diaphragm carb. The VIN on my bike is only 11 digits, so I don't know how to decode it. I have compared pictures online, and by comparing the tank decals I'm guessing it's a 1990 model.

      Hey I have a 1997 big bear 350 4x4
I replaced the shifter shaft and the shift arm linkage and the rod when I installed them all I was unaware that you had to line the dot on the shifter shaft with the gap on the linkage arm gap put it all back  together and rode it I can't get it to shift in the right gears  I can move the shift cam by hand and goes in different gears but with the shifter shaft in it riding I can't put it in R or N
Anyone know how to line up the shifter shaft and the shift cam s

Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

If you had to choose one mod that you couldn't live without, or had to recommend one what would it be?

      Hi guys
My 87 Bear 350 won't start and could use a hand.
Turn key on and Oil light turns on and then slowly fades out. (I think this is key to this) No start, not even a tick.
      battery and connections good
A Solenoid post jump turns it over
Neutral Safety Switch wire attached and seems good
It has not had a wire/switch on Rear Brake Pedal ever since I had it.
Any thoughts on some other things to troubleshoot this??
