Hello, i repaired a few month ago an old ATV a kymco MXU 250 (2004) is not so difficult, just need some money, manual instruction and some hours.

1) check the noise without the rear wheels and if necessary repair the rear axle on (see video)

2) have good tools and specific grease and a friend to help you maintain the parts, a very good friend 🙂

3) have a bearing puller

have a good trip with your ATV, now new project an old yamaha big bear 350 (1999), all information and advice are welcome 🤗

Thanks a lot

Big Bear 350, that should be a fun project, depending on the state of disrepair it is in. The Big Bear was introduced in 1988 to compete with Hondas 4 Trax 4x4, it was Yamahas first 4x4 ATV, it was produced for 1988 to 1999, they were tough as nails and along with the Honda set the standards for 4x4 ATVs. Did not have a very fast top end because of the low gearing, they were made more for work and hunting and boasted pulling power of 900lbs.

it's seem a good ATV, but a few parts are expensive and became difficult to find it.

Now i need to find the repairs manual for check all parts.

first cleaning carburetor and change the nozzle too big 130

That a new challenge for me, and if it the better i will sold my kymco MXU and keep the big bear for hunting and farm work.image00000016.thumb.JPG.baea0ff4ff72585d75fbca9eef14ceed.JPGIMG_2904.thumb.JPG.3e60e4b578acf0cf426dcbf5591115fe.JPG

Starting this build thread to keep up with everything on my build and hope to motivate someone!

I picked up this 2008 Yamaha Big Bear 250 2 weeks ago. A guy that I hunt with parked it at the hunt club for a year or so before I asked him if he wanted to sell. He said " fill my feeder and throw some batteries in my cameras, and you can have it". Sounds like a deal to me!
I have attached some pictures of how it sat under a tarp in the woods and when I got it home and cleaned up a little.

What's the best kids atv out there? I've seen everything from the ones released by the major manufacturers to all those knock offs. Kawasaki has a KFX 50 that is pretty nice for under $1800...

      Gday all,

Been trying a couple different ways now to download a manual. Not sure what I am doing wrong but could someone walk me thru it?
I go to DL page and click on link
get a pop up for a PDfixer or something
close that and then hit download button and no go
tells me I have reached my limit but I have never DL anything ever.

Anyone purchase or check out Rockymtnatv lately? Well I was just browsing over there and they have a pretty cool section called Ten Dollars Or Less. Some interesting things to check out if you are in the market.
