When you and a group of friends decide you want to take a long group trip of camping/riding/overlanding, how far are you willing to drive for your trip? Right now, i find it really difficult to want to drive more than 2-3 hours one way.

I can attest to that central FL traffic. I moved to the panhandle to get away from that crap. Lol

The panhandle is awesome...There are places in the river woods in the Tallahassee area that people ...Cajuns I think ..have set up parament camps.  They are hospitable...I was kinda  lost there one time driving to meet friends and a guy led me out.

i will have to look around a bit and see what i can find. Ive been talking to a few people i met through work and have been trying to get my Recon finished up so i can make a ride somewhere. i am almost done putting it all back together. just waiting on one seal for the rear brake so i can put the new axle in. Should have the seal tomorrow and hopefully reassembled so i can test it out.

What time of they year?  The Chief Logan SP and Cabwaylingo SP has cabin and camping.  They both join up with the the Hat-MvC trails.  The guys at the locaal Motor sports shop just rave about it and go a couple times a year,.

Its a 4 hour drive to the Cabwaylingo State Forest.  They have nice amping areas.   I like to be clean so showers and facilities are nice.   The guys at the ATV shop said  the summer is nice as there are streams I can wash off in.

We should explain for those who  do not know...Suburban is  a  private several sq mile area of native Florida with no rules.  If fact the Sherrif does not go there ...of course the Sherriff and his wife are currently in jail LOL

As of recently, theyre really turning it into a freakin wasteland. but i only just started going out there back in 2019. All the recent drama has really started making it unappealing, however ive spent many nights out there camping and riding.

I picked up this ATV that had no spark. The previous owner said he was driving it and it died and would not start. He discovered it had no spark. He replaced the CDI and the coil with no luck. He got tired of it and I bought it. I replaced the stater and now it has strong spark. Now, it starts for a second or two then dies. It will not stay running. I have checked the timing and it is spot on. The valves are adjusted correctly. I see no warn issues with the cam. I put the original CDI and coil back on it. Same problem exists. Compression is at 65 psi (has decompression mechanism),
I took off the muffler in case the issue was clogged pipes. No change. I replaced the spark plug. No change. The carb was an aftermarket so I put a Niche carb on with no change. I bypassed the fuel pump and that did nothing to solve the problem.
I don't know if this is a carb issue or an ignition issue. I am looking around locally for an OEM carb to try out but not sure that will fix the problem.
Can anyone help me solve this problem. I am running out of ideas.
      Thank you for your time
      Bill

I have replaced the cracked stator cover on my non-running 2006 LT-F400F that I purchased recently, checked all the shafts vs the service manual and pics and advice here.  I replaced missing gears, bushings and washers, made sure that truth marks were all aligned properly, that the shift cam springs felt like they returned properly, etc.  IAfter installing the new stator cover I checked the transfer lever for proper movement from L-H-R and then cranked it up.  Happily, it runs and changes gears well in L,  but it will not shift into H or R for anything.  I have opened it back up and am going back through it looking for the missing puzzle piece(s) but how can I best check that I have everything right this time before buttoning it back up?

Who agrees with me that Yamaha atv quailty was one of the best well built quailty machines money could buy, then 2007 came rolling in and they have gone to complete sh**. Cutting corners everywhere they can and made such unreliable machines
