Welcome to QUADCRAZY! What kind of trails did you find up there, state land? I've ridden outside of Amsterdam, Broadalbin, Johnstown...allot of state land up there. You should take a ride and check out the Lake George area in the spring TrailPass - Lake George

Yeah next my wife and I are going to buy a trailer so we can go to all of the designated ATV areas. Right now we're just riding on "non-designated trails" down here.

there are some trails right off of the train tracks in coxsackie that run all the way through Ravena. Seems as though as long as you ride responsibly you can ride the local streets to get to the train tracks.

Oh and thanks for the welcome. Glad to be here. it's all new to me, so i've been surfing the whole site to learn as much as I can.

Welcome to QuadCrazy!

Mudd Nutts are in your area.....been trying to get up by you for a while, but haven't made it yet. Fat Duane be yer boy up there......

Nothing "legal" by us/you unless it's private property, from what I understand.

There's been some recent hoo hah about some actual trail development in the Tug Hill area.

Not to steer you away from QuadCrazy, but you can pick up some local info at:

NYATV ONLINE

They're starting to charge for membership, so that's a decision you'll have to make.

They do host member rides.....don't ask me about their trails; I'm STILL confused! LOL!!!!!

Mudd Nutts site is down for now; not sure when it'll resurrect.

Hope that helped a little.....

I am trying to diagnose a no spark issue with my 02 Big Bear 400 and I am really hoping it is not a CDI.  I have done the test on the stator and I believe that is faulty.  I ordered a new aftermarket one from a the jungle website and it tested bad right out of the box so I am waiting for a different one to arrive from an ATV parts supplier.  I started looking out of curiosity at CDI units and it seems if it is for a big bear you are SOL.  Kodiaks, no problem.  Big Bear. No such luck.

Does anyone use GPS, whether on a device or app to record their ATV trail rides? I have been thinking about a section where our members can upload let's say a .gpx file and share their rides on a google map for others to see where there are riding areas. Not sure if this is something of interest or how much it would be used, so just trying to get an idea.

I live about an hour west of Savannah and was wondering if anyone knew of places to ride in this area. Only place I know of is in North Georgia, about 4.5-5 hours from my house. Would like to find something closer.

The family has two quads and have been asking where to ride around here- we are about 70 miles north of spokane and looking for places that are nice to go visit for beginners.
We have a 2003 Polaris sportsman, and a 2004 Artic Cat 2-up (I forget the size)
