Hi. I am looking to purchase an ATV for a Bahamian island called Bimini. It is 50 miles from Miami. I am looking for something that will ride the beaches without getting stuck. There is lots of shoreline with some mangroves, vegetation. So will probably need 4x4 for that area. But I ready somewhere that the the extra weight of the 4x4 in the front of an ATV will weigh down traveling on teh beach and make it more susceptible to getting stuck? I would think you'd want 4x4 for beach sand. I would also like to use this ATV to pull a small trailer for bringing trash to the local dump. I am considering the Honda 420 4x4 with foot shift (dont want to fix ES on an Island). I am also considering the Honda Foreman for the pulling capacity but I'm concerned that the extra weight of the Foreman will be prone to getting stuck in beach sand. Anyone have an opinion?

I have several quads and will soon need to replace tires. I typically like to have a complete set mounted and ready to swap out for different kinds of riding but haven't done that yet. What do you recommend and where have you purchased them?

I have a 89 Big Boss 250 I can get it to idle very slowly with no throttle response. I did get it to run normally a couple times only after working the throttle every so slowly to get the RPM's up enough so that it would move. Even when i did get it to run normally it bogged back down for a brief moment then came to normal. Not sure if it's a fuel problem or if I should be looking into the ignition system for possible low voltage issue.

Last time I was out with my 8 year old son we got separated just enough that we lost communication (helmet intercoms). I was looking for ideas as a "backup plan" for this situation. I'm considering FRS handheld radios. Any other/better ideas out there? Ideally I would put somebody behind him, but it's normally just him and I so that's not an option.

Obviously word goes around fast. For those who don’t know, some asshat broke into the garage and stole the teryx this morning about 8:30 am, here in colonial beach. Please lookout, they can’t be far. To the piece of sh*t who stole from me and my family: you’re an idiot. You will get caught. I will find you. You f*cked with the wrong b*tch.
