if a quad engine is new and not broken in yet would it be bad if i put a slip on and new jetts right away? or should i wait intil i brake it in then put stuff on?

I would wait until you rack up a few miles then start modding. Gives the motor a chance to cycle through, and break in. Make sure to change oil and maintenance your machine according to manufacturer specs.

i kno i just hate breakin in engines cuz i like 2 ethier ride hard or dont ride at all just how it goes

im not a complete idiot of coarse i change the oil and do simple matinanece (once agian cant spell)

With these new motors, it is more beneficial to ride them hard from day one...

I also agree, I would wait to upgrade. Not that I think there is any real harm to be done, many machines come off the showroom floor with add-ons already installed by the dealer. It just seems to me like it would be best to let things settle in before you start changing stuff.

So then are you guys saying that after Rebuilding a Motor you are supposed to put Stockers back on and break it in???

I would not go as far as to put stock stuff back on after a rebuild, I am just saying that I personally would just break the bike in before I did any mods, not because I think it would be bad for the machine, but because I like to get a feel for the machine in stock form before I decide what I am going to do to it. You could even make the argument that it would be better to do every mod you plan on doing to the bike before you break it in, because it would be a good idea to break in the new parts with the rest of the motor.

Correct, like I said before, some dealers add items like exhaust and even rev boxes to brand new machines. If there was any real danger in it, I am sure they would not do it themselves. I just said I would wait because of my own personal prefference.
