I think a lot depends on what type of riding you do. If you are talking mostly trail riding and you're brother in law is average size and weight and same skill level then he should be able to keep up fairly well. I have a 660 and had a warrior which is what the raptor 350 used to be. I thought it handled well on the trails and was a very dependable atv. However, if your talking track or open fast paced riding the 450's and banshee should run off and leave the 350 raptor.

A Raptor 350 is a good, reliable, starter quad, but it really lacks in the performance department. It will not even come close to keeping up with an experienced rider on a Banshee or any 450 unless you are riding in trails so tight that you can't get out of 1st gear. I am guessing that he is looking at the Raptor 350 because they are relatively cheap, I think a 400EX or LTZ 400 would be a better buy IMHO.

      Hey I have a 1997 big bear 350 4x4
I replaced the shifter shaft and the shift arm linkage and the rod when I installed them all I was unaware that you had to line the dot on the shifter shaft with the gap on the linkage arm gap put it all back  together and rode it I can't get it to shift in the right gears  I can move the shift cam by hand and goes in different gears but with the shifter shaft in it riding I can't put it in R or N
Anyone know how to line up the shifter shaft and the shift cam s

I WANTED TO UPGRADE THE CARBURATOR ON MY 1992 BIG BEAR 350, SO I ORDERED A NEW CARB FROM EBAY.  ACCORDING TO THE WRITE-UP IT WAS A GOOD FIT FOR BIG BEARS FROM 1988 TO 1996.  WHEN I REMOVED MY ORIGINAL CARB I NOTICED THAT IT WAS DIFFERENT FROM THE NEW CARB MY CARB HAD TWO THROTTLE  CABLES THE NEW CARB ONLY HAD ONE CABLE.  HOW CAN I MAKE THIS CARB WORK ON MY TWO CABLE THROTTLE?

      Hello,
I was able to repair most of the little problems on my 2006 BRUIN. I still have little things to do...
I changed the Hazard light Switch because it was not locking when pushed and now it is not working at all. When I connect it (not sure of the wiring -4 wires but a lot of connection possible on this HELLA 3916-01 switch-) the flashing lights button (on the handlebar) is acting like the Hazard light switch.

Soon to begin working on a 2002 (i believe) Bruin 350 i recently got back. Reportedly will shut-off while driving it, and blows a fuse (i have not gotten a battery, and begun diagnosis myself yet).
Was told if they change fuse and it goes again for a while until it happens again.
Figured it was worth asking here if anyone has had a similar experience, and determined the cause (worth a shot right?)? TIA.

My Yamaha Big Bear shifts through all the gears good, goes into reverse smoothly, but when i go to get out of reverse it takes a lot of effort to get it back to first gear, and even then it does not go very smoothly, have to pull up on the pedal really hard, anyone else ever had this problem. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
