1988 Yamaha Warrior loses power when warm

:aargh:I have a 1988 350 Warrior that is not running right. It runs okay for about 15 minutes, but once it heats up, it spits and sputters and losses power. The exhaust gets louder when I lose the power. It has an HMF exhaust. I have tried two different carbs and have adjusted them both and I still get the same thing. No matter how I adjust the carb, it doesn't change. The parking brake is disconnected and all wires are out. I have checked the stator and pick-up and source coil, and they are fine. Stator is only 2 months old. Checked valves and they are okay. Have checked the harness and can't find any cut wires. The timing is good. The air filter is clean, and I have also tried running it with the air filter cover off, and there is no change. I have tried taking the exhaust off and there is no change. Sorry for the long story, but I'am trying to list everything I did to help you figure something out. I just don't know where to go from here and am hoping someone can help me with this. I would say from what you've listed and tried that the cdi is bad or going bad. They are susceptible to heat and seem to act up more once a machine has been running. Other than that you've covered everything I can think of. I guess it could use new rings and possibly a piston if the machine has a lot of miles.

Thanks for your reply. The piston and rings are a year old, but I'll have to do a compression test to check it. Can the CDI go slowly like that? Most people say they just go all of a sudden with no warning. I would hate to buy one and it's still good. Thanks again.

      1990 kawasaki bayou 300c idles fine but pops out exhaust and intake when trying to excel, will not take throttle past 1/4 , any one had this problem?
      have replaced carb twice, same thing, fresh built engine cylinder head, same as before, new spark plug, flywheel key is good, pulser test good, good spark

      I have a 1990 Honda fourtrax 300 2x4
      I rode the other day for 30-45 min. Switched it off and now it is completely dead..
      battery is fully charged, fuses are good . WILL NOT TURN OVER ,
      headlights won't turn on , No neutral, reverse or oil temp lights . Electrically it is completely dead !!! I replaced the key switch and CDI box , STILL NOTHING.
      I bypassed the neutral safety switch and grounded it to the battery and still nothing !! I used a jumper wire on the starter Solenoid , the motor will turn over but not start . I even bypassed both fuses and straight wired it to see if I could get a neutral light or headlights still nothing . What could it be ?

      I picked up this ATV that had no spark. The previous owner said he was driving it and it died and would not start. He discovered it had no spark. He replaced the CDI and the coil with no luck. He got tired of it and I bought it. I replaced the stater and now it has strong spark. Now, it starts for a second or two then dies. It will not stay running. I have checked the timing and it is spot on. The valves are adjusted correctly. I see no warn issues with the cam. I put the original CDI and coil back on it. Same problem exists. Compression is at 65 psi (has decompression mechanism),
      I took off the muffler in case the issue was clogged pipes. No change. I replaced the spark plug. No change. The carb was an aftermarket so I put a Niche carb on with no change. I bypassed the fuel pump and that did nothing to solve the problem. 
      I don't know if this is a carb issue or an ignition issue. I am looking around locally for an OEM carb to try out but not sure that will fix the problem. 
      Can anyone help me solve this problem. I am running out of ideas.

      I recently picked up a  2000 warrior 350 and it doesn’t have the air filter box so I was thinking about using a clamp on filter directly on the carb.  Anyone know what I need to get or where I can find it? The one I ordered goes in the box and won’t fit directly on the carb.

      Anyone  carrying  a power box when  camping with their ATV?  I built  a custom  one.  I  used a  marine  battery box that  has 2  50A Anderson Grey connector  outputs (  changed one of the greys to a red), an accessory socket  and2  USB outlets,and a battery  voltmeter ..  I  added a Pure sine wave 1,000w inverter to it and A red 120A Anderson connector to the  output  posts.. To  charge the  100Ah LiFePO4 battery  I  put in the box, I added  a DC to DC charge adapter that I  made input connectors for to allow charging the battery from a vehicle's  accessory socket  or a solar panel.   
      It  was a fun  project.. Besides  having a  1,000w power box for  120V ac , USB   and  12v accessories using the 10 A socket.  I  have  50  A  Anderson connectors  and the 120 A connector  to run  things like a  12v electric outboard   for fishing  trips .  The LiFePO4  battery  only allows a max output of 100A  so  it  can't be used for something like jump starting,  but  it  is half the weight and  delivers twice the capacity of a lead acid battery running accessories..  Commercial pow2er  boxes  don't  deliver  high draw 12v output to run things like  the  electric outboards.   That's one reason  I  custom  built  mine.   One box that serves for both camping and fishing.
