I would start by checking the 3 fuses in the fuse box, I think the box is in the rear of the machine, probably near the battery. Refer to your owners manual to make sure. If the fuses are ok, check the relays that are located near the fuse box. If you still find nothing wrong, then you need to check the wiring, I would first check for power going into and out of the key switch, then start checking for power at the components that aren't working, and work your way back toward the battery. Also don't forget to check any ground wires to make sure they have a good connection.

key OFF

unhook pos batt cable.

wait 20 minutes

reinstall batt cable.

just like rebooting your computer

blinking lines indicate a reboot is needed.

Julie, that sounds like professional advise to me, I think Raptor8 may have given you the best advise there. I would certainly give that a try first. Good luck, and please let us know how you make out.

Update on my ignition key being left on 2007 Rancher 2WD: Found that I fried the computer when I first tried to jump-start from my truck with truck running. Mechanic said too many amps blew the board. New board ordered and will pick up next week. $400 lesson. Thanks for the help online!

Hi all.  New to the forum & quads.  Seems like a great place full of info.
I just recently picked up a 2005 Suzuki KingQuad LTA700.  I need a battery.  I've been reading up on conventional vs AGM types.  I have a Royal Distributing and Canadian Tire.  RD has 2 types avail for my year/Model a battery YTX16-BS CRANK $75, and BATTERY YTX20CH-BS YUASA $140.  Neither of these is the type from the manual FTZ16-BS.
from what I can tell... I think the only difference is the capacity with the $75 unit rated at 14 AH/10HR and the $140 unit rated at 18 AH/10HR ... which is the rating in the manual for the FTZ16-BS.  How much does this make a difference for nearly x2 the cost?
And about the models/type numbers.... what is important to know ... they all end in "-BS" but are the other details relevant or just manufacturer naming?

I am hooking up a speaker on the rear of bike and want to use a factory auxiliary switched plug and not have to cut into the factory wiring or add another switch. I have read a bunch of posts that say there should be an auxiliary 12V connector in the front and one in the rear. I found the one in the front when I hooked up my winch but cannot find any in the rear. I have seen some pictures showing one on the right side attached to the down tube behind the side cover, but there is nothing on my 2024. Can anyone confirm that there is a auxiliary 12V connector in the rear on the 2024 700 Xmr? If so, can you please tell me where it is (with a picture if possible)?

The battery on my Big Bear drops completely down in the battery compartment nothing sticks up to grip too, plus there is only 1/8" clearance along the sides, no way to get a grip on it to pull up out of battery compartment. I thought about putting a piece nylon strap under the battery and leaving enough up each side to give me something to pull it up out ff the battery compartment or using a big zip tie around the battery.
Any others have any ideas or have had this issue.

I got a 2005 350 Raptor Special Edition and I'm dealing with a no start issue; the weirdest thing is when I'm cranking it fires and slows down showing signs of pre firing, smoke shoots out the carburetor every time it sparks. every electrical part (CDI, Rectifier, Stator, Coil) has been swapped out from previous owner, the top end of the engines all new and I cleaned the carb out, anyone got any ideas or similar problems, also is it possible to have a bad spark timing
