I ADDED THE POWER COMMANDER 5 ON MY 2007 RAPTOR 700 ON FRIDAY ....WELL I CONNECTED EVERYTHING RIGHT BUT WHEN I TURN ON THE QUAD IT SHUTS BACK OFF AFTER 5 SECONDS OR SO.....ANY SUGGESTIONS? THANKS :aargh:

My guess is that you did not hook it up correctly, maybe it isn't grounded properly. Either that, or you have a faulty unit. Double check your connections, make sure the ground wire is connected securely to the negative battery terminal and make sure the plug is pushed all the way into the socket on the injector and make sure the stock plug is pushed all the way into the input socket on the PC5. If you can't get it too work, take it off and see if it still runs without it. BTW, next time you have a question about your quad, post it in the branded atv forum, this should have been posted in the Yamaha forum.

      need help on a yamaha raptor 80 stalling

      I recently purchased a raptor 80 for my grandson for  christmas. I am trying to make sure it is running properly. i have rebuilt the carb and adjusted the carb idle then the mixture to middle of where it runs rough and it runs great for about a min or 2. then it stalls out. I can usually choke it and it will start so i feel it is lacking fuel. the fuel shutoff valve has been changed and i checked it for good fuel flow.  any ideas of what to check next. I am planning to vfy fuel float height tomorrow. I visually checked it by turning carb upside down when i had it apart and it looked level. any ideas are appreciated.

      1990 fourtrax 300 no power no lights

      I have a 1990 Honda fourtrax 300 2x4
      I rode the other day for 30-45 min. Switched it off and now it is completely dead..
      battery is fully charged, fuses are good . WILL NOT TURN OVER ,
      headlights won't turn on , No neutral, reverse or oil temp lights . Electrically it is completely dead !!! I replaced the key switch and CDI box , STILL NOTHING.
      I bypassed the neutral safety switch and grounded it to the battery and still nothing !! I used a jumper wire on the starter Solenoid , the motor will turn over but not start . I even bypassed both fuses and straight wired it to see if I could get a neutral light or headlights still nothing . What could it be ?

      I picked up this ATV that had no spark. The previous owner said he was driving it and it died and would not start. He discovered it had no spark. He replaced the CDI and the coil with no luck. He got tired of it and I bought it. I replaced the stater and now it has strong spark. Now, it starts for a second or two then dies. It will not stay running. I have checked the timing and it is spot on. The valves are adjusted correctly. I see no warn issues with the cam. I put the original CDI and coil back on it. Same problem exists. Compression is at 65 psi (has decompression mechanism),
      I took off the muffler in case the issue was clogged pipes. No change. I replaced the spark plug. No change. The carb was an aftermarket so I put a Niche carb on with no change. I bypassed the fuel pump and that did nothing to solve the problem. 
      I don't know if this is a carb issue or an ignition issue. I am looking around locally for an OEM carb to try out but not sure that will fix the problem. 
      Can anyone help me solve this problem. I am running out of ideas.

      Raptor Pre-ignition?? (Maybe)

      I got a 2005 350 Raptor Special Edition and I'm dealing with a no start issue; the weirdest thing is when I'm cranking it fires and slows down showing signs of pre firing, smoke shoots out the carburetor every time it sparks. every electrical part (CDI, Rectifier, Stator, Coil) has been swapped out from previous owner, the top end of the engines all new and I cleaned the carb out, anyone got any ideas or similar problems, also is it possible to have a bad spark timing

      After turning off engine in neutral  starter wont engage If I rock unit back and forth it engages Getting progressive worse.
