I recently trade my dirtbike for a 2002 raptor, with some problems. First of all it idles really fast and when you hit the gas it bogs way down. Thought it might have been something in the carburetor so took it off and cleaned it all up, put it back on and it was the same or maybe worse. Then it doesn't run off choke, and even with the choke on it runs very crappy. Then when I got it the electric start button was stuck, so I ordered a new switch for it. That was 5 days ago and now it does not work. :(.. It felt hot so maybe it got burned up somehow? Also the guy I got it from put some kind of aftermarket pipe on it. Would that mess with the gas/air ratio? The pipe is so cheap it is basically just a tube on the end of the exhaust it does nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Kyle.

That exhaust is probably your issue. Most manufacturers of aftermarket exhaust systems for ATVs will give you jetting specs that they recommend, from tests that they have performed.

If you are going back to the stock pipe, unless the jets were changed, you will not need to jet it.

      Hello there
I'm having a problem finding a quality carburetor for a 1993 Suzuki Quad Runner lt-f 250 2x4. I find a lot that have 3-4 star ratings. And all so far don't have the right throttle Cable inlet at the top. The last one I got 4 star on Amazon has a threaded cable sheath rest that could be partially drilled to work. I would prefer to get one I don't have to modify. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

I recently purchased a raptor 80 for my grandson for  christmas. I am trying to make sure it is running properly. i have rebuilt the carb and adjusted the carb idle then the mixture to middle of where it runs rough and it runs great for about a min or 2. then it stalls out. I can usually choke it and it will start so i feel it is lacking fuel. the fuel shutoff valve has been changed and i checked it for good fuel flow.  any ideas of what to check next. I am planning to vfy fuel float height tomorrow. I visually checked it by turning carb upside down when i had it apart and it looked level. any ideas are appreciated.

      Thanks.

I’m having a issue with my choke when its on it runs fine when I cut the choke off the atv cuts off went to take the carburetor off and saw the choke plunger broke at the nut to screw it in could this be my issue? Do I just need to buy a plunger kit and put it on? I took the carburetor off and cleaned both jets anyway just to make sure and it’s still having issues staying on

I got a 2005 350 Raptor Special Edition and I'm dealing with a no start issue; the weirdest thing is when I'm cranking it fires and slows down showing signs of pre firing, smoke shoots out the carburetor every time it sparks. every electrical part (CDI, Rectifier, Stator, Coil) has been swapped out from previous owner, the top end of the engines all new and I cleaned the carb out, anyone got any ideas or similar problems, also is it possible to have a bad spark timing
