Hi guys im new to the forum and i hope i put this in the right spot. But im putting this up for my uncle. But he has a 2002 Bombardier quest rotax 650 4x4 All wheel drive. Now i was driving it down the road today and all sudden it shut down i thought it ran out of gas but it didnt. After it shut downi pushed it to the side of the road and tried to crank it over but it wont crank over. It is a electric start none of the lights or anything work So what i was thinking its in the wiring somewhere right? Does any one have a website that has a wiring diagram for this 4 wheeler or does any one know what else it can be? If anyone has any idea please let me know everything willprobley help thanks guys!!!

I don't think for starters I would jump to a wiring problem these quads have many electronic parts on them. It might be as simple as a fuse alot of quads have the electronics under the seat. When you tried t start the uad did you hear a click or any noise are you sure the battery is good. Does the quad have a pull or kick start? First I would try charging the battery.

Sorry i for got to put that But when i tried to start it i didnt hear any noise or clicking noise. And when i got the 4 wheeler back to my uncles i tried to put the batter charger on the battery and still nothing. And it only has electric start. And yes the battery is good. Thanks!

Scot91 I have a 2002 kawasaki kvf 650 on my kawai it has a fuse on the starter solenoid. I don't know if the bombardier does or not you could check follow your + cable from your battery and it should go to the solenoid my has a red clip to disconnect and theres a 30amp fuse. If you need me too I can upload a pic.

Yes if you can upload a pic that will be great thanks! And i looked at it a little bit but i unplugged a little wire and thought it was a fuse but it wasnt i dont know what its for. But if you can give me a pic thats great. And this 4 wheeler is at my uncles or else i would be looking at it right now. Im trying to get this going agian cause im spliting fire wood for him and this is the only 4 wheeler he has that i can move the spliter with where im doing the wood at Thanks!

I know I am a bit late... Just joined this website.. Lol

I have a 2003 Quest 650 XT and I used to have a problem with the battery cables... Found out that one of them was getting burned against the exhaust and it would short out and shut down in the middle of the woods but then it would start right back up... Finally I fixed that then the starter solenoid sh** the bed and while I waited for it, id have to take a screwdriver and touch the 2 nuts together to jump the starter.. Mind sending me a few pics of your ride?

Which is more reliable? Shaft or chain drive?

I picked up this ATV that had no spark. The previous owner said he was driving it and it died and would not start. He discovered it had no spark. He replaced the CDI and the coil with no luck. He got tired of it and I bought it. I replaced the stater and now it has strong spark. Now, it starts for a second or two then dies. It will not stay running. I have checked the timing and it is spot on. The valves are adjusted correctly. I see no warn issues with the cam. I put the original CDI and coil back on it. Same problem exists. Compression is at 65 psi (has decompression mechanism),
I took off the muffler in case the issue was clogged pipes. No change. I replaced the spark plug. No change. The carb was an aftermarket so I put a Niche carb on with no change. I bypassed the fuel pump and that did nothing to solve the problem.
I don't know if this is a carb issue or an ignition issue. I am looking around locally for an OEM carb to try out but not sure that will fix the problem.
Can anyone help me solve this problem. I am running out of ideas.
      Thank you for your time

When you and a group of friends decide you want to take a long group trip of camping/riding/overlanding, how far are you willing to drive for your trip? Right now, i find it really difficult to want to drive more than 2-3 hours one way.

Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum.
I have been riding quads for the last 20 years, however my quads are extremely old and outdated, all three are about 20 years old LOL.
I have been looking at upgrading, but need your input.
I've narrowed it down to the Polaris Sportsman XP 1000 S or the Honda FourTrax Foreman 4x4 EPS
      What do you guys think?

Working on a 2002 Quest 500 and the grommets in the tank are rock hard and leak.  Any tips on replacing without having to pull the tank, hands are too big to get to the bottom gromment which is the worst one.
