I have been using cheap envelopes to hold parts, all the bolts/nuts/fasteners that go to the part I put in an envelope and label and they put aside with the part. If you forget how it sits on the quad you can also refer to the parts diagram.

Swampcat thanks! I was useing ziplok bags but their not so easy to write on. I like yours better. Some I put in the new frame where they will be going. I forgot I started on my old quad today and have a fight on my hands getting the exhuast pipe to come off the pipe it slips onto. Dirt and some rust is winning so far. If I had Petes money I would just buy a new one and cut the old one off.

Anytime i would work on my race cars i would use those clear plastic storage containers with the dividers inside. You can write on the cover with a permanent marker and erase it with wd40.

I like using the plastic box because each compartment was the sequence in which those bolts or partz came off. Someone would also move my plastic bags so my sequences would be screwed up

That was the only one I feel it had been welded before for some reason and who ever left a hole for water to get in it's rusted on the inside. The front bumper bolts are broke off in the frame and parts on that side of the quad was loose compared to the other side. I think I got a patch job you know what I mean patch it sell it to the first sucker.

Heres what I got done today it took around 2.5 to 3 hours. One butt buster when the swing arm nut broke lose I went down & my wedding band caught on the frame I stll have my finger but it hurt. So then I battled thru the blood and pain. Heres where I'm at now.

Hi guys, I have a 2004 big bear 400. Last winter while plowing the driveway, I heard a loud pop from the left side of the engine. It continued to run as I looked for leaky fluid, but then died shortly after backing it up and won’t start now. The oil light comes on when I try to start it, no noise or anything else.
No blown fuses that I can find.
