I am thinking of opening a new motorsports shop in PA. But I can think of a good name, I think I found a good location, but I am not sold on it yet. I just want to get any feedback before I even open on what you like to see and not like to see in a motorsport shop? Thanks for your reply!!

I will start out selling new and used parts, and I have contacted MTA, ASV, Four gear and others to be a dealer for them. I will be close to local race tracks so I hope to help racers if they break something, or just need replacement parts like brakes, and oil etc. Other than that I am going off the seat of my pants! Thanks for the reply!

Ya we have no clue what we are getting into! We are looking at just basic tools we will need, its over 20K! Plus to find a building and all, its going to be hard to do. But we love to ride and want to ride till we die! We want to keep places for our kids to ride, so this is what we think we can do to help.

My husband and I have talked about how fun that would be to own a store.

Well I think I am going for it. We are planing on getting a old builing that needs a new roof, dont have water or sewage, no power or anything, even the block work is all cracked up. But its what we can afford. Its going to take lots of time to get it all ready to go. The good thing is its 1 min. from a track, 3 min from a new super highway, and 5 min. from a existing major highway. Hope it works! Wish us luck!

I am hooking up a speaker on the rear of bike and want to use a factory auxiliary switched plug and not have to cut into the factory wiring or add another switch. I have read a bunch of posts that say there should be an auxiliary 12V connector in the front and one in the rear. I found the one in the front when I hooked up my winch but cannot find any in the rear. I have seen some pictures showing one on the right side attached to the down tube behind the side cover, but there is nothing on my 2024. Can anyone confirm that there is a auxiliary 12V connector in the rear on the 2024 700 Xmr? If so, can you please tell me where it is (with a picture if possible)?

I am trying to diagnose a no spark issue with my 02 Big Bear 400 and I am really hoping it is not a CDI.  I have done the test on the stator and I believe that is faulty.  I ordered a new aftermarket one from a the jungle website and it tested bad right out of the box so I am waiting for a different one to arrive from an ATV parts supplier.  I started looking out of curiosity at CDI units and it seems if it is for a big bear you are SOL.  Kodiaks, no problem.  Big Bear. No such luck.

I have replaced the cracked stator cover on my non-running 2006 LT-F400F that I purchased recently, checked all the shafts vs the service manual and pics and advice here.  I replaced missing gears, bushings and washers, made sure that truth marks were all aligned properly, that the shift cam springs felt like they returned properly, etc.  IAfter installing the new stator cover I checked the transfer lever for proper movement from L-H-R and then cranked it up.  Happily, it runs and changes gears well in L,  but it will not shift into H or R for anything.  I have opened it back up and am going back through it looking for the missing puzzle piece(s) but how can I best check that I have everything right this time before buttoning it back up?

Pulled my '86 Moto4 out of shed where it sat for 20 years. I knew it smoked. checked it over a little put in gas and it fired right up!!
Drove about 100 yards, ran about half throttle wouldn't idle.  Put on somenew parts, jug/piston and rings, carb and valve seals.
'went together ok, tuned it over by hand about 6 revs whick went well. Hit the starter it fired for about 6 revs and quit. tried it again fired once and then th sound of something slipping like maybe chain slipping over spoket.
Took cover off to watch cam sproket, hit starter again, heard same noise and the cam sproket was not turning but jumping a bit. Chain was still tight. You will probably tell me I need to split the lower case but hoping there mightbe something else.
I don't fully understand the chain tightener, the plunger only moves about 1/4 inch, should it move much more than that when off the motor and compressing it by hand?
      Thanks for any thoughts.
