utility quad for under 3k

Ive recently moved to chattanooga tn where there are plenty of trails near by to ride. Im looking for the best/most reliable 4x4 utility quad for under 3k. I dont need huge power 300-400cc will do but I would really like a quad thats reliable and easy to get parts for.

Check out the kawasaki bayou. If you really get into riding you might be looking for a 500 in a year or two.

If you shop around you should be able to find a good used 4x4 utility in your price range bigger than a 3oo cc. I agree with swapcat you will be looking for a 500 maybe bigger. The 500 cc range quads is something you would be happy with for years. I know some adults ride 300 cc quads but most of the time we see maybe 12 to 15 year old kids riding the 300 size quads. The only 300 I have rode latley was an older Kawasaki prairie 300 it was a rough ride on the trials I have a 03 Kawasaki prairie 650 and it handles better and is alot smoother on the trial. I'm sure the newer quads would or should be better than mine and the 300 I rode. When you get up to the 500cc they tend to have better suspension some stright axle and some IRS. Just do your research go for a few test rides and compare the different size quads.
