So a few of my friends got the idea o find a few Honda 70s to fix and ride the hell out of. So Craigslist to the rescue! Found these 3 bikes.

So the deal was 3 people 3 bikes. I took the TRX one friend took the 85 ATC other took the parts bike. The next day my friend decided to sell the parts bike to me (but took the front tire)

So here where I stand so far

The 6 wheel 4x4 70 monster!!!

But anyway that's just a joke

Pulled the motor chain and rear grab bar

Front brakes removed

Rear brake cable moved to where front brake was to add a clutch cable one day

Front bumper removed

So that's where I am right now. Won a fuel tank off eBay last night so once that's here ill be happy. Out bid on a seat today so that's a huge bummer. Unsure of motor right now. I was told the original one has low compression so I don't know of a rebuild or a piranha 150cc swap is the right way to go. But I'll keep everyone posted on that. sometime this week ordering a pullstart cage in hopes to see if it runs as is. Front fenders will be the absolute last thing I buy because they are around 220 new or 400 for front and back off eBay.

As for the 70 with the white seat,my friend ordered a new/used stator last night. So let's hope for the best there. I'll try to keep everyone up to date on that project as well right up until the paint and rebuild part because or a little friendly comp we will be doing between the 3 of us that are building bikes.

So questions/ comments/ advise welcome.

If anyone needs ATC70 parts message me and maybe I can hook you up.

Thanks for reading

Thanks guys. I've really got my work cut out for me with this one.

After long deliberation (bout a minute) I decided to go with the piranha 140cc. The piranha150cc would be nice but it doesn't appear to come with the wiring harness the 140 does. But that's to come once the TRX frame is done. May sell the motor unless I can convert the transmission to use in the ATC motor, TRX tranny is 3 up, ATC is 3 down. So if anyone know about that let me know.

More updates to come

Just aquired this Honda 4514. I had heard of them and seen them but had never really looked at one. Amazing machine from the 90s.
It has a 14 HP inline 2 cylinder engine. A cute little fan like the old school cars had and a little radiator. It has a timing belt on the back of the engine running the cam and a water pump. Just like a miniature car engine with  electronic clutches to turn blades on and off. Pretty hight tech for the 90s not a small thing and built like a tank weighs in at 600 pds hydrostatic trans. I have found out that almost anything you have to do to it the engine has to come out starter timing belt water pump. Very expensive parts i think most got junked for that reason, i did find out they were built by John Deere except for the honda engine.
Does anyone here have any expierience with these.

I recently read an article about restoring or at least improving the looks of faded and discolored plastic body parts. In the article it suggested using a 50/50 mixture of boiled linseed oil and paint thinner. You mix it up and apply it with a brush or rag to rub it in and remove the oxidation. I curious to find out if anyone has had experience with doing this and what was their short/long term results of doing so. I would hate to try it and find out that a few weeks/months down the road my plastic body parts self destruct.

So.. it a weird one.. The quad surges as you go down the road. By the looks of my tracks, it's one wheel only. High range, low range, 2 wd , 4 wd.. It just doesn't matter..
You can see in the pictures the marks it leaves. That was in a straight line, with hardly any acceleration.
      Any ideas?

      As noted above!
I’ve been looking for quite a while now to replace my rip torn CV boots and CV shaft with the axle set up for all four corners.
I cannot find a company anywhere that sells aftermarket axles
Also, looking for a new four-wheel-drive actuator switch that bolts to the front differential mine was broken off by a large branch.
I cannot find anything but OEM parts what gives??
      Again 2024 Kodiak 700 EPS.

Okay, so I have a 2002 Rubicon 500…bought it last year and it sat for several months until I put a new rear axle in, FINALLY got that done and was super excited to finally have my wheeler going, just to notice a strong gas odor. Popped the seat off and sure enough, pouring gas from the carb overflow. Fast forward a few more weeks and get the new carb and get it in, no leak! Yay. Except now I have no spark. 😒 I’ve tried another plug and checked and am getting no power to the coil pack. I’ve read and read and mostly what I’ve found is ECU, which is fine…but I like to exhaust all avenues before buying the more expensive parts just because I don’t wanna spend the money and it have ended up being something simple that I overlooked because I was trying to rush. 😂 I don’t know if it’s relevant, but I read on another post that someone had similar issues with theirs and it was the sensor on the side of the carb, just a thought since this literally happened after I put the new carb on. It also displays “- -“ on the display screen where it should show the gear position.
