I recently got a Kazuma 250 I think. I installed new battery and key assembley its only turning on when its connected to the charger.when it is on it shakes back and forward . It rolls backwards . I try to give it gas but it shuts off . Do I need a new alternator so it will cut on with out being connected to the charger

Also I got some B-12 Carb cleaner and it seemed like it helped a little

****Pictures are on my page I couldn't load them from my phone

ALSO IT BEEN SITTING FOR I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG SO SHOULD I LET IT RUN AND LET THE CARB CLEANER GO THRU THE SYSTEM

i would try to get it running fairly smooth first and see if you have the same problem with the forward motions. you could check the drive belt in the meantime and see if its worn and/or narrowed with wear. it seems the chinese brands electrical harness and components are not as reliable as the japanese. i would just try and get it running smooth and go from there, and yes, run the carb cleaner thru the carb and hopefully you won't need a rebuild kit or alot of heavy duty cleaning by dis-assembly ...

Hi all.  New to the forum & quads.  Seems like a great place full of info.
I just recently picked up a 2005 Suzuki KingQuad LTA700.  I need a battery.  I've been reading up on conventional vs AGM types.  I have a Royal Distributing and Canadian Tire.  RD has 2 types avail for my year/Model a battery YTX16-BS CRANK $75, and BATTERY YTX20CH-BS YUASA $140.  Neither of these is the type from the manual FTZ16-BS.
from what I can tell... I think the only difference is the capacity with the $75 unit rated at 14 AH/10HR and the $140 unit rated at 18 AH/10HR ... which is the rating in the manual for the FTZ16-BS.  How much does this make a difference for nearly x2 the cost?
And about the models/type numbers.... what is important to know ... they all end in "-BS" but are the other details relevant or just manufacturer naming?

The battery on my Big Bear drops completely down in the battery compartment nothing sticks up to grip too, plus there is only 1/8" clearance along the sides, no way to get a grip on it to pull up out of battery compartment. I thought about putting a piece nylon strap under the battery and leaving enough up each side to give me something to pull it up out ff the battery compartment or using a big zip tie around the battery.
Any others have any ideas or have had this issue.

Anyone with experience on relocating the miniscule battery from the front lower center wheel area to the left rear wheel area on the Polaris Sportsman 570?

i just picked this up. was told ran fine but overheating issues led to replacing head gasket and head. has not ran since. he is not a mechanic but helped someone else who he could not get back to finish job, got aggravated and put up for sale. i was thinking timing issues. i have 110-120psi on all 3 cylinders so i think valves are correct. dont know about distributor yet. however i have no spark. i have no power going to ignition coil. tried to follow white wire but gets lost in wire harness. does anyone have a wiring diagram? can anyone tell me what conditions have to be met before starting. motor turns over so i would think all safeties are met but you never know.
