Hey all. Long time quad owner here, but first time I've joined a forum. Looking to gain some knowledge on my quad, and just get some ideas for whats out there.

I generally just use my quad for utility stuff around the home. Hauling, plowing, etc. However, I've been trail riding a few times, and recently rode a buddy's KindQuad. I was floored at how improved IRS rides over a solid rear axle, and am generally just looking to get some ideas how to improve my ride.

The two are very diffrent. Everyone that I know that is not a sport rider has upgraded to IRS the only diffrence is some took longer than others.

When I had the solid rear I "actively rode" by standing on the quad and bending my knees on the rough sections.

Yeah, thats how I ride now, but thats because I have to. It was amazing to me the difference in ride when I test drove my buddys quad. Just made me wonder if I needed to change the preload on the suspension, or tire inflation, or even different tires. I guess thats what Im mostly looking for info on for now. No way Im dropping $7K-8K on a new quad when mines paid for and is mechanically solid. Heck, aside from the rear taillight getting busted by a friend who borrowed it, theres hardly any damage to the quad at all. Its in really good shape, and I would hate to drop that kind of money just for a suspension upgrade. :)

      So I decided to pick up a small trailer if I could get one for the right price.  I found this one for a few hundred bucks on Craig’s list.  It is  a galvanized trailer which is exactly what I was looking for. The wood was shot and needed some minor repairs which I could care less about as long as the chassis was good. 
      I striped it down and put a new deck on. I had some vinyl realtree graphics that I had laying around so I added them to the fenders which I think worked out well. Very happy with this little guy.  
      I'm having the iron workers at my jobmake me up a few lightweight side rails that will have a 22 degree bend in them to accommodate the tires that slightly hang over the edge and will incorporate some tie down points as well.

      Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum.
      I have been riding quads for the last 20 years, however my quads are extremely old and outdated, all three are about 20 years old LOL.
      I have been looking at upgrading, but need your input.
      I've narrowed it down to the Polaris Sportsman XP 1000 S or the Honda FourTrax Foreman 4x4 EPS
      What do you guys think?
