I have a new Arctic cat 425i. The tires are pretty good but seem to have just enough traction to get you in really deep but not enough to get out.

The best looking Ive found are Interco Super Swampers at about $85 for the front and $120 for the rear if I go stock size. A little pricey for me but not completely out of the question

It has 25x10x12 rear and 25x8x12 front.

I thought about going to 26x12x12 year and 26x10x12 front. but do not want to change anything else like gearing, rims or clearance.

Any and all advice/suggestions will be appreciated.

I got ITP Mudlite XTR's @ I love em'......not the best on pavement but I've never gotten it stuck. They hook up great in the snow & even better in the mud. They might be a tad more expensive but well worth the investment, especially with the anti-puncture characteristics of the radial.

And I suggest to go with all same size all around, I have no clue why 4x4 quads come with different sized tires, I appreciate the thought of a "drag tire" approach, but what I think, that's a 2wd setup to me so I went with an inch in between the width of my f/back tires. Because real trail 4x4s, crawlers, and all that use the same size all around. I like more pattern, but not too wide so I can still cut through snow and mud, so on my grizz I went with 26x9x12 all around. My dads on a Rincon 650 and he got 25x10x12 and they were the same price, not too bad of a price for an amazing tire. Good luck out there.

The back tires are wider so they can grab the sides of the ruts/mud and not slip in the track cleared by the front tires. I however run the same tires back and front for the ATVS and they do fine. On the 500 I run 10s and on the 650 I run 12s (Don't try this at home).

And to get a good deal on tires you can always look used. I got all 4 tires with about 80% left for under $500.

Hi everyone and thanks for reading.
My husband and me are getting ready to host the 2nd Quad Runners event at our nudist campground. The first one (last year) went pretty well with about 20 quads attending and have to say, it was a smaller group, but they made up for their size with the large interest in partying and there was plenty of nudity as the Saturday night went on.
We have decided to host another one this summer, but we are looking for some fun (but safe) riding events. Our grounds are almost all flat and remember we are a nudist campground so many of us are bare as* naked so "slow ride" events would be the best.
Give us your thoughts and ideas and feel free to ask us anything you would like, and we will answer right here in the thread.
Thanks for your help and ride safe.
BTW, let us know what "anything goes" means for this thread section.

      Hi all,

I am wondering if any of you have a Clutch Starter gear from a 1988 era quadrunner 250 sitting around that you could get me a precise measurement of the outer diameter of the race the sprag engages onto, for me? I need to machine a damaged race down and install a hardened sleeve and need that measurement (it's on a different gear than the OEM one, so I can't buy and use a OEM gear).

Hi guys, I was given a 2000 Honda Recon fourtrax 250 (I think that's the full name lol). The previous owner had it sitting for a while before I got it. It sat for another few years in my ownership. I got it up and going on its first test drive today!! I was wondering where everyone buys their parts from?  Coming from the car community, we have sites like RockAuto and many more. Anything like that for quads? Also would like to be pointed in a direction, if possible, for plastics. I am missing a few and would like to have it complete. I appreciate any input!

Good morning, I am new to the forum. I'm 75 years old and love getting ATVs back to usable condition. I particularly like the 2006-2009 Arctic Cat 250 Utility. I currently own 6. The 2006 I am working on only has reverse and low gear. The "drive shaft" in the transmission is completely stripped where the high gear would mesh. Has anyone on here replaced the shaft. I'm told I have to split the case. I was hoping that someone on here could let me know how hard it will be. I already have it stripped down to where the shaft coming in from the clutch side is the only thing left. I was hoping I could just remove the driven clutch and drive it out from there. Directions say different. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
