Hi guys,

I dont post here much but I figured I would pass on some info in the hopes it will help someone.

I was having a problem with my KQ while plowing snow the other day. It would stall frequently while idling. Especially when stopping to switch to reverse or a forward gear. But it would run fine at anything above idle. My buddy came over to help me with it.

We determined that it was starving for fuel or dirt was stuck in the carb somewhere. After confirming that there were no clogged screens, filters or vacuum leaks anywhere, we disassembled the carb and blew out all the passages with carb cleaner and compressed air even though everything looked spotless.

Then we checked the pilot screw setting. Someone had already been in there as the plug was removed. We checked the setting and it was 2-1/2 turns out from the seat. We set it at an even 3 turns and put it all back together.

It now runs flawlessly with no stalling! I believe it was just a bit lean on the low end.

Anyway, hope this helps someone.:cheers2c:

BTW, this is my first season with this (or any) quad and I am AMAZED at its plowing ability for such a small machine!

Hopefully someone can help me out, I purchased a 350 moto4 2wd while I'm trying to fix a dying honda. I can't see the vin number as there was damage and a bar has been welded where I think the vin should be, The decals say 350 moto4 Huntaway, it has the square gear change low, high, reverse up on the left of the handlebars and it has three rectangle lights up on the dash. after googling I'm struggling to find anything called huntaway, Any ideas? Thanks.

I’m looking for any member that may be familiar with the neutral safety switch on this bike.
I picked up a bayou 220 that I found sitting in a shed. Nice looking bike the guy said it would not start one day and put it away and never touched it again.
So it turns out the neutral safety switch is bad.  I jumped it out and the bike fired up and runs good.
I’m more then capable of the work in changing it but this thing is buried pretty good. I’m curious if anyone has done the switch replacement before?
I attached some pics to see.
picture 1 is the side view you can see the green and red wires going into the cover.
Pic 2 shows looking down on the drive shaft coming out of that cover.  That is not a simple cover you just pull off.
Im wondering how deep and how much sh** has to come off like the drive shaft etc for this switch  to be replaced.
So if any of the QC members have done this switch I’m looking for any input with regard to changing it.
      Thanks.

You guys are my last resort. Got a 2000 prairie 300. Brand new battery, neutral switch, aftermarket carb, spark plug, silenoid, key switch. Fuses are good. No neutral green light, will crank if cross the silenoid, but won’t start. No power at the ignition switch or regulator. I’m thinking cdi box or starter relay. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hey all, just posting to introduce and get ball rolling on the required number of posts to download a freakin manual. Recently picked up an 86 LT230S for $800, runs OK and kids having some fun on it so far, but it needs some work. I did an oil and filter change, other than a rough idle it's not bad, ordered some new front tires as those are thrashed, and getting left rear looked at as it has a slow leak and was somehow mounted backwards! Not sure how that happens and nobody noticed. Anyway, yeah sure I'll be posting more specific questions as I get into it, hope to just have it solid enough for kids to rip around at grandpas.

Hi everyone i am coming from Europe and looking forward to join this community. I'm currently riding Kymco mxu300r which is the same bike as Brute Force 300 just different plastics.
Recently i came to a problem with this atv when accelerating near full throttle it suddenly lost power like i quickly released throttle but i kept throttle lever in the same spot. Since then it pulls off fine until you are past first 1/4 of throttle and then starts stuttering/misfiring. Same behavior when revving in neutral or riding. Cleaned and gapped spark plug but no better.
Could this sudden symptoms be from bad ignition coil and cdi or dirty carb? Carb was never cleaned before but i used stabil in gas when atv was not in use. Atv has 1000 miles carb on it is Keihin cvk32.
Sorry for longer post and thank you in advance.
