My Suzuki Quadmaster wont start. I have changed the battery and still no lights. I took my battery charger and turned it over with that and it would turn and turn and turn but wouldnt fire up. The lights on the handle bars would keep flickering but stay wicked dim. I have checked the fuses and the fuses are good. Those are the main problems another problem is the pull cord keeps breaking. I changed the cord and it still keeps breaking. But that is the least of my worries. Thanks.

i would clean (with a wire brush) the battery connections to start off, solenoid and any other ignition connections. pull cord might break because of decompression for pull starting. pull the cord until tight, wait 3 seconds, then pull hard ...

Update guys I was going to go out and follow the wires and after I got the plastic off the fuse on solenoid was fried. Changed that and it fired up. Changed the oil and then it pulled over better now it runs fine. Thanks for the help!

Hey everyone looking for a suggestion of where i can start looking. But first I'd like to explain what happened. Took the bike this morning got it started in 6 degrees celsius in 6-7 kicks? No choke. Drove 6km and when shifted to next gear bike decided to just shut off, stopped checked everything out seemed good, started first kick and on i went, drove maybe another 2km bike did same thing but this time it took me 10-15 kicks to get it started, on the third time after a kilometer decided not to start at all. Kicked it like a 450 a couple hundred times, nothing. So far checked gas is good, bypassed fuel filter and on/off valve to eliminate that problem, hot wired the kill switch in case something got corroded there. Nothing. Any suggestions would be welcomed. (Heard valve adjustment are a must do?)

I been working on this thing for like 2 months now and it will not run right, is very smokey, and has a pretty loud tap that i think is in the bottom end. Not sure how much the parts are but i will put the time into it if they are pretty cheap. Im not very experienced but going off how the plug looks and the oil on top of the piston i am getting a whole lot of oil coming in from somewhere, not sure if it can come from the valves or if the rings are just shot, my cheap scope cant really see the walls of the cylinder too well.

on my left brake handle (for the rear brakes) there's two wires attached to it. What are these wires for? They can't be for the tail light, since it only has on filament  I tried to trace them, but i got lost in the harness. I checked wiring schematics, but didn't see anything like that.
      I'll post a pic later.

Do not know what else I need to attach the pull start to this machine. I have the pulley but nothing to attach it with. Could you help with what else I need. It's a 1999 Lakota 300

      Hello all!
I was given a 2000 Suzuki Quadrunner 500 (Quad 500 Runner?) and its current state is a bit of a mystery!
Kept indoors but hasn't been run in 5 years.  We're not trying the engine until the gas is replaced, and the tires are reinflated. But the previous owner said their only issue was stalling when shifting to reverse without giving some throttle.
      I'm optimistic!  See y'all around!
