King Quad 500 Anniversary Edition

Recommended Posts

Im going to look at a 2013 king quad 500 axi this morning that I saw advertised by a local dealer. After I got more info from them it turns out to be an anniversary edition. What is the differences between this and the regular axi? The price of the bike is $7900 and I am just wondering if its a decent deal. Also it has a different paint called metallic matte red? Anyone give me more info on this model?

The stock Suzuki pictures don't even match the color of this bike. I went and looked at it this morning and actually bought it after I saw the color. It is a burgundy or maroon color with a matte finish, its a very beautiful bike.

Took it out today for a quick spin and a little break in time. The king Quad is fantastic in every aspect and will serve my riding purposes well. The only thing it needs is a better set of tires, Can anyone help me out with some tire suggestions? I do mostly trails and some aggressive hill climbs with minimal mud. Going riding tomorrow morning and see how she does on the trails.

i have the mud lites, and they are rough on a smooth surface, almost impossible to move the bike with that tread. ive rode a bike with bear claws, and they were great in the dirt and very smooth compared to the lites ... depending if you are going to tear it up, myself, id go with the claws ... I have a 1999 Sportsman  500, it was running fine, than started to lose power in the winter, I adjusted the idle screw and away I went, than a few weeks ago it died, I have found that i am flooding the engine, compression was at 70PSI and due to the compression release mech. i assume i am good as it compared to the same PSI on a 2000 sportsman 500 i have. i cannot start the atv unless i go full throttle and it starts an runs for about 30 sec than dies, again it is flooded. i ordered a new carb off ebay as i could get one for around $40. put that in same issue, i have checked the timing, (good), valves out of adjustment i adjusted to .006 still same issue, i have found the exhaust lobe and rocker arm to have some wear, i have ordered new ones, but am looking for any other input in this area as well. would the exhaust cam and rocker arm cause the engine to flood? i have used a bore scope and the piston liner has good cross hatching still? any input would be great.
