I just bought a 2001 big bear 400 4x4 w/ a snowblade and winch. Seems like a great deal even if its a little rough. I am not worried about the pretty only the mechanical for now. I bought it knowing it hasnt ran in about 8 months. The previous owner put a rebuild kit in the carb and believe he didnt get the clip in the right position on the needle(perhaps wrong term).

Anyhow does anyone know where the clip belongs or any other settings on it I can double check? He said it ran but was doggy as hell if doing anything other than sitting at idle. Ran ok before the carb rebuild, 1600 miles on her. Have to pick up a battery too. Hmm..and that damn nut on the steering stem is loose causing bar slop.

Any info I ought to have as a new big bear owner is appreciated

I have a Yamaha Timberwolf 4x4 250. I want to put a winch on it, but just wondering if the charging system will handle it or not ? Has anyone added one to their machine and have you had any issues?

Okay so I bought this 1997 sazuki king quad from a guy and he had it for a few years.
He had it registered and on the trails last year but he said it bogged and backfired when he would try to drive it. so it sat for a year.
I bought it for 800 bucks and got it running that night and it ran great for a few days
But I parked it the other night and went to start it again and it was really hard to fire up and when I did it was bogging and idling high then low again.
So I took the carb out and cleaned it (ended up doing it twice because it was still doing the same thing)
Now today I have it running slightly better, but it is still like 20%
I have been looking it up and trying to figure it out but I can't find the issue, has anyone else had this problem? I'll attach a video of it running and giving some throttle

I have 3 atv's 2 have winches , the problem I sometime have is loading onto the trailer if the bed is wet or of frosty. there have been times the winch is needed. but , what to do if the w/o ATV  or any other perhaps dead ride needs to go onto the trailer . 99.5%  of it came from harbor fright.

First ATV but owned 2 wheel versions all my (long) life. 1990 KLF300C for $500.. doesn't run yet but I'm an old automotive mechanic so not worried. Only a little concerned about the price of parts, certain this antique will need many

I have a 2003 Polaris Sportsman 700 I bought to use a Polaris plow with- it came with the plow and a winch attached to it (rebranded little warn), the wires from the ATV kept coming disconnected- so I bought a new old stock Polaris/Warn mount and did the same with a 2500 Warn- Was that a good idea? Or should I have gone with something like a Harbor Freight (I love to hate this company but some of their products are decent)

Is there anyone else Out there I should have considered or was this my best choice-
I've done a lot of "jeep" stuff but just getting into the quad thing a bit more.
      Thanks in advance.
