I just bought a 2001 big bear 400 4x4 w/ a snowblade and winch. Seems like a great deal even if its a little rough. I am not worried about the pretty only the mechanical for now. I bought it knowing it hasnt ran in about 8 months. The previous owner put a rebuild kit in the carb and believe he didnt get the clip in the right position on the needle(perhaps wrong term). Anyhow does anyone know where the clip belongs or any other settings on it I can double check? He said it ran but was doggy as hell if doing anything other than sitting at idle. Ran ok before the carb rebuild, 1600 miles on her. Have to pick up a battery too. Hmm..and that damn nut on the steering stem is loose causing bar slop. Any info I ought to have as a new big bear owner is appreciated

Had the opportunity to buy a 1999 King Quad really cheap with snow plow included. Has 2000 miles on it. Im used to having Hondas and i am not familiar with Suzuki at all. Where should the choke be when running? I runs with the choke lever toward the ground but stalls when coming to the end of pushing a pile of snow.

My Girlfriend rolled her 2 week old 2011 Raptor 350 coming back from Spooner pass in Lake Tahoe. It rolled with her twice then flipped over a log and landed upside down about 25 yards downhill on rougly 60% grade. It took 2 hours and the help of other riders who stopped to help. On the way home it started to cut out. I discovered it would run with the petcock in the "Res" position. Then it stopped running altogether. I discovered the air intake box full of oil. Cleaned that up, sprayed a little starter fluid in, it tried to start but, wouldn't. Drained execess fuel from carb. sat for a day. Charged battery then fired right up. Spittin and cracklin and back firing. Then smoothed out until I put petcock into "On" position. I haven't owned a bike since the 80's. So learning all over again. Anyone have a suggestion for a fix or what to look for. p.s. Girlfriend ok. More damage to pride than self. Thank God! Could have turned out really bad.

Dear forum members, I recently purchased a 1987 LT230E Quadrunner and it didn't come with a owners manual. My question is what position does the choke lever need to be in to start a cold engine? Pushed up or down? Is there a way to adjust the choke? I have a Clymers repair manual but nothing is mentioned ablut the choke for the chain driven model. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Phil

I'm trying to replace the cylinder base gasket on an LT250R 2 stroke. This is the first time I have done anything like this. Can someone please tell me how to orient the ring gaps on the piston? I heard that there were locating pins to keep the rings from turning to the ports. Please help so I don't ruin something. Also any ideas for compressing the rings? Thanks Much
