I`d go for the thermo switch first. Check for continuity in and out of it cold. Open circuit good. Closed circuit bad.

Looking at my 09KQ WDM there is not a relay in the control system. Just the switch and a fuse. What year is your Eiger?

It will lower the service life on your fan. Check the switch first. Might be a different problem. Also that is bike bandits list price. You can probably get one cheaper else where.

I unplugged the switch and the fan stopped coming on, plugged it back in and back to coming on. I tapped the switch with a wrench however and not it had stopped. I guess now I have to get the bike hot and see if it comes on?

At least you narrowed the problem down to the switch. Sounds like it was stuck closed. Now will it be stuck open? Yes run it but don't stray too far. If you get an overheat light and the fan doesn't come on you'll need to shut it down for a while.

I think you troubleshot it to the switch. Sounds like it got stuck closed again. Verify with a continuity check on cold engine and start shopping for one. I dont have a manual for your rig. Might need to drain the oil.

Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.

Are the cheap tires from Amazon any good? I know nothing last forever, but don’t want them to dry rot in a year.
