  4. There are several checks i go through on a no spark situation. You have already done the first on my list, correct OHM range on the pickup coil. Te next is check to make sure you are getting voltage to CDI also make sure it has a good ground, check all connections going to CDI from pickup coil. Make sure you are getting 12V to the main coil and it has a good ground. Even though you r OHMs were correct on pickup coil check to make sure its putting out voltage i do that with an analogue meter digital is not sensative enough to catch the miilisecond voltage spike from the coil, unless you have a peak voltage adapter or your meter could possibly have one built in if its expensive enough mine does not so i use the analogue meter. Generally if it passes all these tests then i replace the CDI.
  5. Hello all, I have a 2006 Polaris Sawtooth with no spark. It has a dead battery but with a jump pack on it, it will still not Spark. Plug is good, Throttle ETC is not closed, Stator pick up coil seems to Ohm out in the correct range, Unsure how to properly check the CDI. And when ignition is on the Neutral and reverse light come on but after cranking just the neutral stays on. Any help would be great, Thanks!

  8. @mehim no nude/barely clothed photos please. I removed them from your last post.
  9. Yes i have run into this before, aftermarket replacements usually involve both gears being replaced and they are not the same size as the OEM ones, but they mate together perfectly and do the job,i ran into this on an old machine recently if that has happened to you i would try to find the OEM gears, both, and replace them. Thats what i did took me a while and one ended up coming from Japan. The measurment would probably be different from an OEM one , if you just need to replace the race you could get the old one out measure it and should be able to find one at a bearing specialty shop.
  10. Someone wanted to know if our campground was open to the public for weekend camping? All of our 50 campsites are set up to be seasonal campsites and they are all full. However, we do have a couple of primitive campsites with only power connections that people do rent for short term camping, but technically we don't have short term campsites. They also asked if we ran the campground while naked or are we clothed? Nudists use common sense when it comes to when we are naked. If we have work to do that requires the safety of clothing, we wear clothes. However, we love being naked and for 90% of the time we are dressed like you see us here. Most of our vendors are fine with meeting with us whether we are clothed or not. Hope that answers your questions

  12. Hi all, I am wondering if any of you have a Clutch Starter gear from a 1988 era quadrunner 250 sitting around that you could get me a precise measurement of the outer diameter of the race the sprag engages onto, for me? I need to machine a damaged race down and install a hardened sleeve and need that measurement (it's on a different gear than the OEM one, so I can't buy and use a OEM gear).

  22. Hi everyone and thanks for reading. My husband and me are getting ready to host the 2nd Quad Runners event at our nudist campground. The first one (last year) went pretty well with about 20 quads attending and have to say, it was a smaller group, but they made up for their size with the large interest in partying and there was plenty of nudity as the Saturday night went on. We have decided to host another one this summer, but we are looking for some fun (but safe) riding events. Our grounds are almost all flat and remember we are a nudist campground so many of us are bare as* naked so "slow ride" events would be the best. Give us your thoughts and ideas and feel free to ask us anything you would like, and we will answer right here in the thread. Thanks for your help and ride safe. BTW, let us know what "anything goes" means for this thread section.
  23. Great Morning QC !! finishing up my work week then time to ride !!

Hey guys and gals. I've been working on my friends 2007 big bear IRS. Unfortunately after 3 different people got their hands on it and only made things worse every time.  After months of finding just crazy problems everywhere. I'm finally at the point we're its almost 100% !!! But I'm getting a short somewhere between the 4xW switch I believe. I managed to by searching the internet like a  fiend, got my hands on an official Yamaha wire harness for the year and make. But I don't have the numbered component list and to be honest. After hours of going through and making everything so it's  easy to reference. If anyone has a picture of the referenced components. I would be forever in your debt. I've spent hours marking up the blown up diagram so it will be easy, for any possible future repairs. Please and thank you. Here's a picture of what i have so far.  Unsealed it in plastic so oil and crap won't spill or get smudged. This damn things worth it's weight in gold.              Thanks Jeff                2007 Yamaha big bear 400 IRS.       YFM40FBW
