  9. Its 53 qts.... People should be aware of heat stroke and heat exhaustion during the hot weather. I love having ice cubes on after these hot days laying in the tent too cool down. It is nice...
  10. Thanks. The biggest issue I have now is that the it was abandoned and the cylinder is rusted out. I'd like to replace the piston but can not find you anywhere.
  11. Welcome! Lots of good people here with much knowledge to share. Good luck with your project. On a bike of that era i would start with carb and electrical, make sure you have gas and fire and go from there. That engine is very robust and powerful as long as it wasnt badly abused.

  15. I mean Grandma's freezer is rated at 45 watts@12vdc at low power & 65 watts at maz...so that computes to 3.75 amps. to 5.4 amps.
  16. Thanks for the Info on the Kit @ Southwest Wheels! Looks like its complete as well! Nicely done!
  17. Foreman has an auxiliary electrical cigarette style 10 amp socket. 45 watt load. The compressor freezer i got Grandma is small enough to go in the Moose? Plus the rough ride on Foreman! Damn, I wear my mesh motorcycle jacket and and a support bra..... but iin a camper would be great!
  18. Thanks for the information i will have to check them out .
  19. The piezoelectric coolers barely keep things cool but the portable fridge/freezers are compressor operated and can cool down to -4F. They're a lot more expensive than the coolers but much better, and to top it off they draw less current than the piezo coolers do.
  20. yes I was packing for a day 80 mile day ride on Forman. So what ever will fit in the Moose. So small cooler with Milk (for My rum $ Milk after ride drink) and lunch. But I am looking at the Freeze dried stuff also to try.
  21. New member! Currently working on a 1997 Arcticat bearcat 454 2x4. Any major things to lookout for?
  22. Well thank you! however, it came as a kit...I mean everything bearings, seals backplate, drums, spindle nut...Southwest Wheels. They have tech help which I called of course..LOL.
  23. For day trips usually pack a few sandwiches in baggies and ice the little Yeti cooler keeps ice for 72 hrs so not a problem and potatoe chips and gronola bars no problem, the 12v cooler should work, dont keep things excessively cold but does work i have one but rarely use it, used to use it for long car road trips but never really keep drinks cold enough for me. Now i just use insulated travel mugs Yeti, Coleman and Buckees and i think the Coleman keeps ice the longest.
  24. my outlander 800 sometmes starts and does good ouker times starts but will not idle .any one else have same problem?
  25. also why do you never see brakes on single axle trailers? I installed on mine. It was easy.
  26. The freeze dried food is a game changer. A lot of folks pack veggies. I was surprised to read about picnic food poisoning that a lot of people fail to wash them before handling and eating. Always wash melons before eating.
  27. the enclosed trailer /storage is a real plus. I wonder how they tow with my Highlander with tandem axles? Probably i would have to use my truck.

Hey guys and gals. I've been working on my friends 2007 big bear IRS. Unfortunately after 3 different people got their hands on it and only made things worse every time.  After months of finding just crazy problems everywhere. I'm finally at the point we're its almost 100% !!! But I'm getting a short somewhere between the 4xW switch I believe. I managed to by searching the internet like a  fiend, got my hands on an official Yamaha wire harness for the year and make. But I don't have the numbered component list and to be honest. After hours of going through and making everything so it's  easy to reference. If anyone has a picture of the referenced components. I would be forever in your debt. I've spent hours marking up the blown up diagram so it will be easy, for any possible future repairs. Please and thank you. Here's a picture of what i have so far.  Unsealed it in plastic so oil and crap won't spill or get smudged. This damn things worth it's weight in gold.              Thanks Jeff                2007 Yamaha big bear 400 IRS.       YFM40FBW
