  1. Hi. I am new here. I picked up a Honda TRX300FW last year. I traded a horse trailer for it. I enjoy it but one thing if I may ask, it seems to overheat and shuts down. What causes that? Thanks

  2. Try the idle adjusting screw looks like a cog on mine or maybe on the end of an extension cable. I would try that before pulling anything else apart.

  4. Well.. I'd say you probably disturbed something when you were working on it.. That's the most likely..haha.. Was the filter really dirty, could it be running correctly now(and high because someone had wound the idle up to compensate for poor running)? Have you tried slowing the idle ? Could you have routed/pulled the throttle cable out so it's sticking where it fits into the carb, or perhaps you've knocked a vacuum hose off, or the choke isn't returned right in because the cable is snagged somewhere ? Are you are sure it was the fuel line and filter you changed(some of those have a restrictive/one way valve that looks a bit like a fuel filter, but it's on a vacuum hose to the tap..,

  5. Not much of a hunter anymore after getting out of the service i sort of look at things differently, i have plenty of arms for home defense but hunting just looks different for me . Few years back i started fly fishing and i became obsessed lol , my wife bought me a fly tying kit and it became my obsession, love tying flys , i have a room dedicated tomthis sole purpose , i fish rivers only , usually in the Roscoe ,ny area as well as the esopus river , if anybody doesnt tie their own flys and would like some for spring let me know , ill probably tie up a few hundred over the next few cold months over the winter.

  6. It is a great spot. Believe it or not 30 years ago you could go up there and see guys fishing and would have no idea but famous baseball players, actors etc would go. There were NY Mets players fishing there. My uncle used to take me and show me and tell me who was who.
