  1. Exactly! that is one of the things that helped me determine that this is a good forum!
  2. Pull it out BEFORE the snow melts!!! driving in the snow cleans just as well as a presure washer and is the only thing that will get the mud off your tires PLUS its WAY more fun!!!
  3. Here is my conundrem...... I cant spell:biggrin: Just kidding But really, right now I have a Honda Recon 250 2 wheel drive, It is a solid ATV and I like the reliability, the power, well its just a great ATV....for what it is But I have recently been considering lifting, bigger tires, exhaust and truck bedliner on the body.... But then In got thinking, even if I did all that, at the end of the day it would still be a 250 and it would still be two wheel drive. So Ive been thinking of upgrading, If I sold it now it would be worth about $14-1500 plus I could save up a few hundred. I would be looking for a larger ATV that must have 4 wheel drive and obviously I would buy used. The brands I would consider would be Yamaha (all around great ATVs) Arctic Cat/Polaris (American quality plus a I could get a good price on a bigger one, I would LOVE to have a 500+cc!!!!) or maybe suzuki... I dont want a kawasaki, chinese brand and Im not so sure I want another honda (theyre great machines, but there are a lot better with the bigger ones (the 250's are the best tho)) So I ask you this, 1.)Is it worth it???? can I pull this off reasonably and after all the hassle would it be worth it? 2.)What brand/model do you recommend? which can I get a good deal on a larger ATV with 4x4?? all help appreciated, I will consider all your opinions. THANK YOU
  4. Forums.AtvConnection.com Somewhat.. but not so much recently Large variety/selection of members The site itself sucks, bad setup. dated forum tech, slow, dated features... I would switch it to vBulletin (the best type of forums)
  5. i WISH I had a shop like that.... but Im still in high school so Im limited to the back corner of my attatched garage... frickin sucks and the neighbors HATE it when I work on the driveway/lawn (NEVER live in a neighborhood with a home owners assosiation!!!!!)
  6. Once you get it clean, spray WD-40 on the tire walls and under the fender, the WD-40 will form a film and the mud will just fall off...
  7. once it warms up some.... It probably will around late march but then Ill be getting a first car (truck) so I might get caught up in that.... my best guess is around April... But an even better guess is that Ill run out of patience and get started in a week or two.
  8. I am 90% sure Im just going to paint the body and racks black (bedliner) and paint the springs lime green and do a bunh of small accents (and maybe even lights) in lime green, also have some lime green RECON decals printed... but my mind seems to change every other day LOL
  9. yeah.... do you think lime green racks/brushguard would be too much?
  10. Honestly I think Im just going to do the body with black duplicolor truck bedliner
  11. I was saying I would love to paint the plastics white Line-X and the frame green
  12. oh, I know how to take the body pannels off. I was talking about stripping down to the frame to powder coat it worying me
  13. Im worried about stripping down my ATV... thats too big of a project!
  14. If I had a niced quad I'd powdercoat the frame and springs lime green and make the body white.... that would be SAWEEET!
  15. WOW that a/c looks amazing!! I think I may end up going that route! White Line-X on the body, black (or just black duplicolor) on the brushguard, racks and some other things like the A-arms, foot pegs and bottom of the frame...
  16. Actually, now that Ive looked into it more I would want to do one of two things... either go all out and do a paint job with the flex additive and clearcoat (Ive found a site online with detailed instructions) or just buy some dupli-color spray-on bedliner. Im leaning towards the duplicolor since my ATV isnt really nice enough for a nice paint job (al the other flaws would stand out LOL) The duplicolor would be inexpensive and come out great so long as I properly prepare the plastic.... heres how it looks on bike plastics...
  17. nah its not that dramatic...
  18. the plow mounts under the engine so when it is dropped the springs are normal, but when I pull it up the front drops around 1-3" Im guessing. But with 80lbs on the rear it sits pretty level...
  19. its only a 2wd quad, so Im not sure run into that manyt problems but I dounno
  20. Heres my entry.... (we dont get too much snow in Ohio winter LOL)
  21. wow those are sweeeeet rims! what type? do you know?
