  2. the last thing I wanted to do was snap pictures in that situation hahaha, but I did take a pic after I got home...
  3. I was able to make and install these snorkels in one day so its not a very difficult project and yes you do want to extend your vent lines so you dont get water in your brakes (first line) or in your differential (second line) and mixed in with the diff fluid
  4. I would worry less about miles/hours and start shopping by owner-look for someone who maintained it well, stored it inside and if its not all cut up and rusty, chances are its a good quad. ATVs are pretty much bullet proof and there isnt a whole lot to go wrong with them plus they are reletively easy to repair. just look for the obvious signs of abuse and buy from someone who treated it well and maintained it
  5. If I were you I would by a Hanes repair manual for your quad, when I had my ATV I had one and it was a life-saver any time anything would go wrong or needed repaired, or even tuned up!
  6. Before: After: (Winch, Mudlites, Bedlined racks, black Fender Flares, Snorkels and a lot of other sh!t)
  7. Go to harbor freight and get one for $50... I did and it lasted me a winter of plowing and 5 recoveries (one completely submerged) plus various other uses and is still going strong
  8. I hope the 20 amp wasnt for the winch, my 2000lb winch recomends a 150 amp fuse. Also, check to make sure your cables are tightly screwed onto the batterie and that you have a good ground cable. Mine did the exact same thing, certain electronics would work but when I tried to use the starter or winch (something that draws a lot of amps) I would get a click click click like you described. It was all because my wires were not bolted onto the batterie tight enough
  9. haha I was hoping someone would catch on eventually
  10. I used duplicolor spray-on and it has held up very well. If I was to do a larger portion I would probably use the roll-on though
  11. I havent personally used paint on bedliner but I immagine it would be better because you could get it thicker and still have the texture, you want it to be thicker on plasic. Just degrease/clean the plastic then sand it down, you can use a pretty rough grit with bedliner because it is textured so sanding smooth is not important. Plus the rougher sand will hold on to the bedliner a lot better!
  12. i dont think anything in a can will ever work right for body plastic... it may be good for a chair but you need some better stuff for a quad
  13. yup she has served me well (gigity-goo)
  14. Im plenty happy with my mudlites especially with the mixed terrain I ride on.. and I didnt modify the engine at all for the snorkels. And yes, before winter I greased all of the connections... funny story, before I got the mudlites I got stuck in deep water and my winch was able to pull me 20 feet to the shore... while completely submerged!
  15. here are some finished pictures (I dont have any from the OHV park but they have passed the creak test )
  16. I'm sure you have all wondered about snorkels on your ATV and I have finally went for it and made dual snorkels for my ATV. My quad, like most, comes with a factory snorkel So I removed that and put some 1.5" PVC out of it with two 45 degrees to get around the engine like so: Then I continued off of that with a straight piece going by the engine and into the fender then in the fender I used 3 90 degrees to clear make sure the wheel never rubs on it. I dont have a good pic but I used a T pipe at the top part to split it into a dual snorkel (I had a single but the dual made a difference by giving it all the airflow it needed) Here is a picture of the whole assembly if you are having trouble visualizing it After all that I painted the PVC black then used clear tubing (refrigerator water line) to extend the factory vent lines from the rear drum and differential. This is very important... here are some finished pictures (I dont have any from the OHV park but they have passed the creak test )
  17. I painted truck bedliner on my fenders after they got scratched up from riding and its held up great and I love it
  18. has anyone used them? do they really make a dramatic improvemnet on performance? are they worth the price and would you recomend them? thanks
  19. yeah I have a feeling Im going to end up with Mudlites, Ive heard noting bad about them and they actually come in my size
  20. it desperately needs new tires in the back so Im going to do that... then I might do a lift kit and Im going to install battery terminals (think splitter) because my battery is too crowded. so nothing major planned, and if anyone has tires or a set of wheels/tires (2) for sale let me know!
  21. hell no its not gonna be that low hahaha it couldnt even make it into my garage like that. and I put a dent in my exhaust when it was like that... oh well, glad you like the paint!
  22. more.... pretty funny to see an ATV dropped right? lol heres a better pic of the bedlined fenders:
